He's the King of Las Vegas, has a decently sized core base of American fans and has been able to pull American casuals into PPVs a couple of times a year.

But, one would think that the "greatest that there has ever been" would have a massive global fan base and would be covered by the celebrity-obsessed media on a daily basis in England, Europe, Australia and China.

But, he doesn't and he's not.

    Why not?

    Tiny.

Put it this way, in terms of sports personalities he is MILES BEHIND the likes of Ronaldo, Beckham, Tiger Woods, Federer and Nadal, Bolt etc. Miles behind.

Trust me, talk of him filling Wembley with Khan as his opponent is complete and utter hilariy of the highest degree.

Yep. Check out the number of his twitter followers to other sports stars.

For the so called greatest sportsman in the world, he has a small fanbase. Cristiano ronaldo (best football player) has 5 times as many followers than him

It's more to do with the sport not the athlete.. Boxing isn't the most popular sport worldwide.. So you can't compare him to a team based sport that is played everywhere.. I guess...

Wouldn't that also apply to tennis, and yet Federer, Nadel, Murray, etc would be far more popular than Mayweather.

Because beating women outside of America is frowned upon?

Because supporting domestic violence in our countries is considered scum?

Because we dont appreciate egotistical arrogant pricks that get paid too much for sculpting a sport around their own personal needs?

Could you please name me some current American fighters who are popular outside of America?

The majority of the rest of the world hates all American boxers.

People who pass judgement to others' behaviors while being racist ****s themselves are not respected anywhere in the world.
