    - Doesn't disclose weight on fight night.

    - Arguably, went into retirement to avoid fighters?! that he promised to fight.

    - Decides what gloves another fighter can and cannot use while they are approved by a certified boxing commision.

    - Tries to accuse another boxer of PED use. When his bluff is called and asked for his testing history also, he ran for the hills & paid the man.

    - Beats woman, doesn't get suspended for bringing the sports name into the media.

    - Threatens to kill his own children. Great guy.

    - Each fight, conditions are raised to suit him ONLY. If you are TBE you shouldnt need special treatment to win against "B class" opponents (his words, not mine).

    - Made special conditions, most are laughable, to arguably avoid the biggest fight in boxing history. For years and years might I add. Continues to fight second tier fighters. Justified by his "fans" because of their rankings and/or paper records.

    - Should I keep going?

*******s: "Floyd is always over 160 in his fights, he is always outweighing all of his opponents"

    Weight vs Ortiz: 150

Name me one active American boxer who is more popular worldwide. Don't worry, I'll wait.

I have never in my lifetime of watching boxing ever heard anything like that. What is that based off of that the majority of the rest of the world hates all American boxers? I've read your posts before and you never come off like you're trolling so I'm assuming you're serious but I have no idea where that would come from.

My point has nothing to do with the general population of American boxers, past or present.

It has to do with the one-and-only "greatest boxer that there has ever been", who by definition should have a massive global brand and should constantly be in the media, sport and general.

Mayweather is a global flop relative to his grandiose claims of historic greatness.

Most fighters don't disclose "fight night weights" for all of their bouts. Seeing fight night weights is nice. But how is that worthy of a complaint? He made weight at the weigh-in. There was no rehydration clause. It would be nice to know but it is utterly irrelevant.

He retired from boxing, how is that ever a bad thing? Hardly something anyone who isn't employed by him should care about.

The glove issue was lame but if he loses points for that then how about all of the fighters that have cancelled fights for far less reason or no reason at all? Happens all the time don't even act like it doesn't... It's called "being the draw." Boxing is a business. Nobody would do it if it were not.

Ended defamation lawsuit with settlement. Happens everyday in the court system. Milk those rumors.

Not the first athlete to supposedly beat a woman and face no repercussion. Your statement I quoted though seemed to insinuate "sculpting the sport for their own personal need" so I'm not sure what this point has to do with anything other than you venting, nor why Floyd is to blame one iota there for not being suspended. Blame athletic commissions for sanctioning him and the fans for making him such a revenue booster, I guess.

Supposedly threatened to kill his children, yes. Nobody would support that. But then again, do I feel my father is an ******* for at some point doing the same to me? No. Do I feel that thousands of people around the world are automatically horrible human beings unworthy of finding happiness for doing something similar behind closed doors every night around the world? No.

Your third-to-last point... I don't know what you are saying so I can't respond to that.

Flashback to 2009-2010 when that fight meant the most. One side of the two put pen to paper and agreed to everything. It wasn't the proposed opponent who agreed, that's for sure. Your opinion of his opponent selection is simply that; just your opinion. You can feel however you would like. And you can also be hypocritical of yourself when it comes to this whenever you would like as well. His opposition since the start of 2006 is top notch with perhaps one or two fights that genuinely could and should have been better... Besides, his "special conditions" aren't nearly as "special" as the conditions of needing to build a temporary stadium on the Vegas strip and needing to wait more than six months to heal from a forehead cut.

I'll wait for something that has to do with Mayweather in the ring (other than you thinking a bunch of future HOF'ers and consensus top 5 ranked fighters are "second tier")...

Well, although I wasn't clear at all and didn't even say this, I was particularly speaking about the contemporary. Active fighters and those from the last two decades.

I originally started to type up a whole bunch of things here, but I will instead say this...

Discussing boxing over the internet on a variety of sites/forums/etc. for years has led me to that definitive conclusion (once again, starting with around 1990).

Why does he earn more money than Ronaldo then?

EDIT: And what the hell is your point to begin with? Should I say that Ronaldo is an American flop relative to football/soccer fans' claims of greatness? Because it is the biggest sport across the globe and he earns less money than a guy who you apparently think is a total flop outside of one nation.

He isn't the greatest boxer, nor have I ever heard him claim to be.

Because in 2014 to most fans...

Popularity and personal opinion of character is more important than accomplishment.
