Generating 2.2 MILLION buys against Canelo, and then 900'000 THOUSAND is selling big? It's a drop off of 1.3 MILLION buys, you idiot. And it has slowly but surely been dropping since (funny how Floyd needs mega-popular Mexicans to break these records...) that Canelo fight.

You clearly no nothing about business.

Because he isn't very exciting to watch for the casual fan who expects fireworks and KO's and don't understand "the sweet science". Every true boxing fan i know however admires Mayweather's talent.

True to an extent, but THE VERY BEST don't go to decisions in nigh-on VERY SINGLE FIGHT and nor do they become reluctant to pull the trigger and get their man out of their.

Other sports' athletes are more popular for various reasons

    1. National/global exposure
    2. Personality
    3. Subscriptions (watching Floyd ain't free)

    It's easy.

This happens all the time 2.4 vs Oscar, then down to 900k or so. 2.2 vs Canelo, then down to 900k or so. Pacquiao is the 2nd highest paid boxer, his numbers have similar trends. Boxing always has, and always will be, about the match up, not the star power entirely.

He's not the greatest boxer of all time... Boxers in general aren't that popular in Europe when compared to athletes of other sports.
