Must be a Floyd hater. What boxer in his right mind would want to be hit? Only an idiot would wnat to be hit. The real question should be why can't these so called professional fighters, Oscar, Castillo, Corrales, Hatton, Judah, Marquez, Mitchell, Augustus etc not been able to land cleanly enough to make Floyd have to fight? I'll tell U whY... PBF is a master at the art of 'NOT BEING HIT' !

You mean that his primary goal is: first of ALL to not being hit ...
so if the other guy cant hit you then you will not lose the fight at least by KO
second: if you land something while you are not being hit then
its a good chance you'll win on points, if you land big you win by KO.

I can understand if that is his boxing philosophy (at least these days).

You sure can tell when a person has never stepped in the ring before...So let me ask you this then...If you fight do you try to take the least amount of damage possible? Do you try to limit the amount of punishement while you better your skills in sparring?

    :huh

The Corley fight was in May of 04.Mitchell, Judah, in both those fights he walked his opponent down at the risk of being countered.

Yes but in Floyd case this is a primary goal. Floyd is not coming into the
ring to fight with opponents, he is coming to sustain the less possible
damage while still be on the head of the cards and keep his zero intact.
I can understand this if this is his boxing philosophy ...

You all however sound that this philosophy is general and EVERYBODY with
the sane mind is trying to apply this philosophy into the real world
but Floyd is the only one who is perfect in that ... right?

So your point is that if we just take the top 10 p4p list and we
ask all of them (PAC, JMM, Cotoo, Mosley, Williams, etc... ) the same question:

.... hey guys if you would be skilled as much as Floyd (while you are apparently are not):

    a) would you try to apply the safety first tactic the whole fight or
    b) would you sometimes take a risk to put more exciitng but also more risky approach?

..... what do you think the other top 10 p4p boxers would say: a) or b)?

I totally agree with you, EVERYBODY can fight his own fight.
So if Floyd's philosophy is to not being hit while hit his own share
..... that is his philosophy ... period.

    but ....

    1) I don't agree with most of you that this philosophy SHOULD and
IS concerning everybody, while nobody can utilize it as Floyd.

You all seems try to prove that if the other guys could do the same
as Floyd they will just sit on the ropes and dodge all incoming shots
the whole night and minimalize all the risk with being hit to almost
zero ... I think its wrong - this is Floyds boxing philosphy, not PAC's,
    not Mosley's, not Cotto's.

    2) I don't believe that this is actually Floyd's philosophy because
as some movies above show a few rears back Floyd wasn't so
reluctant to put a good fight ... so what is happening now?

Is he more desperate to keep his zero, or to keep his image of
successful businessman or his pretty face intact or he actually
got scared after Jones Jr felt down unconscious a few times?

Yah, stupid Floyd. He should get hit more so us fans can be entertained. Damn him and his amazing defensive skills.
