Because the inference is that Manny is only where he is because he used drugs and Mayweather is not the Nevada State Athletic Commission, who have ultimate responsibility when it comes to setting a standard for all fighters - Not just Floyd and his opponent.

The only thing I found disturbing about Floyd's post fight call at the weekend was that when Merchant talked about Nevada strengthening their drug testing requirements, Floyd kind of suggested that if the tests didn't meet HIS camps approval there was no fight.

If you're trying to show "the sport of boxing" is clean - Then clean the whole sport, not just 1-5 Floyd Mayweather fights.

It is up to the NASC to care about the boxing world. Floyd has to take care of Floyd. Every last one of us knows that what testing they do now is shitty. There are no two ways around that. ****, in all capital letters. Are you trying to tell me, that in a contact sport, that has long established shitty testing procedures, that I should simply accept what is masquerading as a test like what is going on in Nevada? Please. Times have changed. Just like the type and sizes of gloves, the size of ring, pound limits, everything is negotiable in the world of boxing. Blood tests included, not to mention Floyd is subjecting himself to the same procedure. Barry Bonds, Shane Mosely, Mark McGwire, Roger Clemons, the list goes on and on with people that have never failed a drug test, but we all know they've used. Not to mention the unscrupulous behavior that comes out of people associated with Top Rank. Roach trained James Toney, known roid user and the ethics of Bob Arum still bothering with Margarito after plastergate. Floyd would be a fool if he didn't get these Top Rank boxers checked out. Like a lawless band of catchweights over there.

its reasonable till someone says no...then it becomes unreasonable.

i really ant to see how other fighters take this....would they say no to this or what....i cant see anyone else saying no to this test really if thats what it took to fight Floyd.

Steroids is definitely out of the question as it is really can be tested with urine specimen alone.

I started even before the whole ****ing excuse of drug testing that it is impractical.

Even the people who run thes tests state so:

Dr. Don H. Caitlin, head of the UCLA Olympic Analytical Lab and for many years one of the most knowledgeable experts in the area - possibly the most knowledgeable – has stated that he believes blood testing is impractical.

Sydney-based researchers have published the results of a

The research found that the use of human growth hormones delivered a 4 per cent boost in sprint capacity but did not enhance endurance, strength or general fitness.
And one subject who was given both HGH and testosterone got more than he bargained, when he noticed he was growing breasts while soaping himself in the shower.
Athletes have used HGH to boost their performance since the 1970s, but no-one had carried out scientific research until now.
A few years ago, Sydney personal trainer Scott Andrews enrolled in a study to see what he might achieve with the help of HGH.
As it turned out, Mr Andrews was selected for the control group. He did not get the hormone but was given some testosterone.
" I think from memory put on three to four kilos but I didn't notice any change in my strength," he said.
Professor Ken Ho from Sydney's Garvin Institute of Medical Research is the lead author of the study.
He says the research team was surprised and delighted by their findings.
"The improvement in performance was observed in a selective aspect of physical function - that of sprint capacity," he said.

So basically, it is just like saying it does not confer any benefit to an athlete not involved in sprinting, or short duration of power and speed.

If you become positive with blood, you need to confirm it with a urine tests wheter the increase in blood cells is due to EPO.

    Here is the article :

EPO is one type of blood doping. Blood doping is illicitly increasing one’s red blood cell supply. Red blood cells supply oxygen to the body’s muscles. Thus, an increased red blood cell supply reduces fatigue by delivering oxygen to the muscles more efficiently. This is why blood doping is one of the most logical illegal means of gaining an advantage in boxing. Training at high altitudes is a licit means of increasing red blood cells and endurance. This is why Big Bear is a favorite training camp of many great fighters.

Although more expensive a urine test is sufficient to detect synthetic EPO

, it seems that a daily urine is enough!!! The only drawback is the expense. But since this is a multi-million dollar fight, F*&&^&K the xpenses.

Please! No floydette to argue! Your comprehension is only good for one sentence and this is a multiple paragraph post. . After one sentence, everything turns to BLAH BLAH BLAH..... So, don't.

    THREAD KILLED!!!!!

only major fights? whats with the inconsistency. how about the undercard eh? floyd should first file a petition at the commission to impose a new testing protocol. I bet this will cost a lot of money

With what Pac has agreed to, Floyd's demand is unreasonable because it's unnescessary.
