Why is Frampton ducking Quiggy??

Frampton should fight Galahad, then Quigg can fight the winner (or vice versa).

Neither Frampton nor Quigg want anything to do with the bona fide world champ (Riogondeaux), so why the hell should they be considered genuine world champions (that's assuming Carl beats Kiko again)?

Don't get me wrong, both Frampton and Quigg are world class, but if neither want to fight the undoubted best fighter on Earth at their weight, they should move up/down a weight class and fight the best at that weight class if they want to be truly considered the World Champion!!

If Carl wins, the UK will have two "World Champions" at the same weight, who aren't likely to fight each other within the next twelve months (at least, if at all) and who aren't willing to fight the best fighter in their weight class!! That is bull****!!

 

Mate if you don't consider frampton a real world champion when he beats kiko then Britain hasn't had a real world champion since calzaghe

Rigondeaux offered to travel to Belfast to fight Frampton (probably pissed off when he heard there was another jackal in his weight class) Frampton din't want to know!!

I get it, you do not rate Quigg, or his "title" and to be honest whilst I do rate Quigg, his "title" and how he won it is utter bs!! But Frampton is not much better!

Frampton already stated that his not ready for rigo and he needs another 2-3 fights. Which I'm alright with he deserves to have money in the bank before taken a big risk In fighting rigo it's his living,anyone else would do the same

Difference with quigg is he called out everyone in the division not called rigo which was pathetic, his the real WBA champion shouldn't he want to actually become the real WBA champion instead of being rigos child?

And I would have no problem if quigg came out and said he needs a few more fights before his ready but his went about it like an idiot.

 

An argument could be made that until Froch fought Ward, Carl did hold a not unreasonable claim to be considered the best in the SM division.

And Frampton has stated that he is not ready for Rigo, but it is extremely doubtful that Frampton will ever beat Rigondeaux!! He simply is nowhere near Rigo's level!! The only way Carl Frampton has any chance of beating Rigondeaux is if he manages to pull a Mcguigan and fight a well past it great in five-six years time.

That said, your point regarding Scott holding a hugely devalued version of the (WBA) title is most certainly valid.

Quigg and Frampton should fight (the sooner the better). I know Scott hates McGuigan (he has no problem with Frampton) but so what?? Those two should fight (preferably before the end of the year).

Also eddies deal was ridiculous no matter what money was offered, the first fight in Manchester then maybe a return in Belfast? Everyone knows that they will be able to sell 3 times as many seats in Belfast so that where the fight should be

Also when frampton gets a real world title he will have huge advantages in negotiations ,his by far the bigger draw and will have a world title , quigg will basically have to accept his demands

 

Or Scott could refuse to fight Frampton if such demands were (to his mind) grossly unfavourable, which is not beyond the realm of possibility!

There was an offer made, but like you said, it did not suit all parties. If/when Frampton wins the belt, a Quigg-Frampton fight should be made asap..but don't be surprised if it doesn't come off for over a year (if at all) which is what boiled my **** in the first place!

 

Yes quigg can turn down the fight but that wouldn't bother frampton as he doesn't need quigg. Frampton can sell out 20000 tickets four times a year on his own in Belfast , quigg will still be an undercard fighter

People rate him just right. Some think he is better than he is. Quality operator, but no Frampton.

I've no dog in the race, a Yank and conscientious observer with none of the regional partisanship that largely divides their fan bases - and, from the outside looking in, Quigg may be the next best after Frampton but there is some distance between them. Hardly neck and neck and h2h that would show.
