Rolando Romero is rated #20 by BoxRec, I think that's about right. With so many talented boxers at 135 and 140, why did they choose the #20 rated boxer at 135 for Davis? Floyd doesn’t like losing. He will show all his winnings when he gambles but never when he lost. Tank is his fighter and if Tank loses, he thinks he loses. I think Tank is fed up and ready to leave because he hears the chatter about his opposition. I hope he leaves soon. It will be a great waste of talent and potential exciting fights if he stays.
Showtime is enabling this. Why fight a difficult opponent who's going to want half the purse when you can fight an easy opponent who will take pennies?
In fairness Cruz was not a bad opponent he's a good fighter and barrios isn't trash either. Rolly is worse than those 3 imo. So his last 3 fights haven't been that bad when you look at it.
And by most accounts, Cruz won that fight - at worst, deserved a draw. Therein lies the reason why Tank hasn't been leapfrogged against the bigger draws in the division.
Yikes, Pimp is wound up already... Just a friendly reminder of how the RBR went. https://www.boxingforum24.com/threads/gervonta-brown-davis-vs-isaac-jonathan-cruz-gonz%C3%A1lez-sergiy-derevyanchenko-vs-carlos-adames-rbr.678575/page-60
I don’t think he is more than he is not allowed outside of PBC, nor will PBC risk their marquee players against outsiders who are just going to walk away after. If they could do it all in-house Gervonta would probably have fought everyone already.
I don't care about the rbr here. It's full of irrational haters hell look at the charlo-castano 2 rbr you had people who had castano up in that fight until he got knocked out.
Valid. You also had people that had Charlo winning the first fight and winning every round in the rematch, which simply isn't the case. Bias goes both ways.
Many had Tank losing to the smaller Cruz (which is also more evidence that he isn't that good). Anyone who knows what a clean landed punch is knows Tank lost that fight. He was also getting outboxed by far smaller Santa cruz until he offered his chin on plate for him.
Lmfao! Tank hurt his hand in that fight but lets ignore that to help further your agenda. Before the injury he was clearly on full control against Cruz. He also in a previous fight was dwarfed in the ring by barrios yet you don't bring that up. Tank had a highlight reel ko against lsc don't care about the hate you said about the fight.
