Why is GGG the only fighter given a pass on weight?

Now let me start by saying I don't think a fighter should be required to move up to be considered good, but I was scrolling through the other thread started by IB and can't help but wonder why is this the only guy who gets these passes?
These same fans will argue Ward has/had to move up to be great, there calling for basically the entire JMW division to move up to make MW better Lara,Canelo, Charlos, J.Rock. Guys like Lomachecko had to move up, Crawford just hit JWW and people screaming he has move up after his next fight the list goes on and on fighters of all nations and races get cr@pped on for not seeking challenges except for GGG.

The fake MW defense record is not a good enough excuse that everyone around whether it's above or below are asked to jump through hoops to prove greatness yet the most hyped dude out right now people are cool with him fighting the D.Wades and Momtoes of the world what's the deal?

Golovkin has already filled out his ideal body frame, anything more and it is extra weight that may not benefit him. Many boxers start out at a lower weight, and then move up in order to fill up their frames. Golovkin has started his pro career at the middleweight limit (his pragmatic weight).

He's also given a pass on fighting bums and begging small fighters to give him a free payday.

For me, barring not being able to make the weight anymore, moving up or staying in your current weight division should be based on the talent around. If your division is stacked or if there is young talent coming through, stick around. If you have cleared out the division and there are better challenges in a higher weight, move up.

Too many fighters and fans think that moving up in weight to win a belt against lesser opposition is superior to staying in one division and facing better opposition.

Each situation is different and should be discussed and rated as such.

As for GGG being given a free pass on weight; considering this board is full of GGG threads everyday, and a 21 page thread today, alone, I would suggest that GGG doesn't get a free pass. Post Floyd, he is the most diversive person in boxing. Strange really when you consider he does what most fans want - knocks people out.

Anyway, I wouldn't put to much stock in it. Most of the people on here are more interested in trying to win unwinnable childish arguments than in discussing and understanding boxing. Therefore, these opinions largely have no basis in fact as the people who hold them developed them not from objectively ****ysing what has occured in boxing, but from arguing with fellow board members and changing their opinion to suit the point they want to make.

All the weight thing is a guessing game made but one section to create an excuses just like a lot of talk on the other side is just bs to hate. But looking strictly at weight lets compare say Crawford to GGG.
Crawford at 140 rehydrats the same amount as GGG at 160 entering 10lbs above the weight. Yet it's already threads about Crawford needing to move up after the Postol fight should he win but in the same retrospect will argue GGG is to small doesn't make sense.

Agree with a lot of your points moving up and down should really be based on a lot of factors also with GGG being such a big talking point I think most of this madness is create by one GGG and his team also a lot of his fans. Most people are not able to have a rational discussion on the matter you either get stans who call you racist or stans talking about 97k.
For legit debaters though this is something I tend to scratch my head at, because most will clown Alvarez for not moving up or will suggest he stay and wait on other JMWs like Andrade or the Charlos to move up yet when the same question is posed in regards to GGG it becomes a national discussion on how it's unfair to him?

Is he given a pass? The whole point of IB's thread was to respond to the pressure being put on GGG to move up. The only fighter I can think of where nobody is pushing them to move up is Kovalev. Then there's guys like Brook, and Spence who are big for their weight class with less pressure than GGG. GGG is also pressured more than the entire SMW division where only Ramirez is in the talks and even then only because of his Large frame and youth.

Not from me, the only time I think a fighter should move up is when they're obviously massively draining themselves to gain a size advantage.

In fact, before Ward moved up I said that I'd like to see him fight DeGale and others, never spoke about Kovalev.

Crawford as well, never spoke about him fighting any of the welterweights.

Does GGG really get less criticism than Crawford or Chocolatito?

Outside of maybe 3 people that whole thread is excuse on top of excuse of why it's unfair one of the points made was even JMWs moving up to MW to make the division more interesting.

Your right about the Kovalev thing but in regards to Brook or Spence one even though I think he's all talk just recently talked about moving up to fight GGG lol the other is a prospect who's still wet behind the ears.
Absolutely no one is calling Brook or Spence the best WW ever nor are they saying either would beat everybody at JWW,WW, &JMW.
I think that is way to easily glossed over when these comparisons get made as well
