Why is GGG the only Middleweight you want to see fight Floyd?

Floyd would have trouble against any top 5 middleweight and lose to GGG, although maybe by decision. He's barely even a welterweight, and his three fights at 154 were against guys who moved up, Canelo, Cotto, and DLH. There is a good reason they made weight classes. He's not what he was a few years ago, and has nothing to hold a welterweight, much less a middleweight off of him.

Yes of course, the best defensive boxer today has nothing to hold another fighter off, only one middleweight has a chance of beating him and if he loses he's suddenly exposed right? :rofl

The only Middleweight I want to see Mayweather fight is the winner of Cotto vs Alvarez for the WBC and Lineal Middleweight position. GGG has done nothing to be worth a fight of this magnitude.

Is Mayweather making a serious effort(like moving up two weight divisions) to fight Berto?.

He's been fighting at Junior Middleweight off and on for awhile now, its not that much of a stretch.

But it's a risk - something Chickenweather's spent his entire career avoiding

But Floyd beats all @154, IF they can make the weight. GGG is the only threat to him that's why there's demand for it.

It's definitely not that much to you, but to professional athletes I promise you it is and must be worthwhile or it will quickly be ignored. Why do you think very few are capable of accomplishing that and always get serious credit for it when they do?. Mayweather is currently a Welterweight, moving up weight divisions, regardless of his three fights at Light Middleweight, is that much of a stretch.

As I said Mayweather is past his prime, he hasn't hit hard since he was fighting 140ers, and he has no reason to fight a guy we don't even know can make the weight. Ask Walters and Chavez, they can't even make their own weight classes, much less move down.

He's had three fights at Jr MWT:

    Cotto (blown un 140er)
    DLH (Blown up lghtwht.)
    Canelo (moved up from welterweight)

GGG is a middleweight who fought at 165 in the amateurs. He's never had a PPV fight, and nobody knows if he's going to make the weight, what if he comes into the fight weiging 155.3 then what? What's the point?

Henry Armstrong started out a Featherweight and went all the way to Middleweight:conf If Floyd's TBE what's the big deal?....prove it in yet another weight class.

I personally would be happy for both Floyd and Cotto to make that rematch but at 160 where Cotto wouldnt have to boil off 12 lbs.

Floyd could enhance his legacy by becoming Lineal MW titlist(though everyone would KNOW he'd be second fiddle), but still, it'd be a huge win.

Maidana is bigger than Cotto, unofficially 167/166, and Floyd beat the breaks off him in the second fight. 9-3 deal with his floyd haterz.:deal

That said, Floyd would happily toss that title in the bin, and allow GGG to fight for the vacant title vs YOU GUESSED IT.....Canelo Alvarez. :thumbsup

Henry Armstrong started had his last title fight at 31 and was out of boxing at 36, and there's a very good reason for that.

Mayweather ain't TBE, he's TSE (smartest).
