What you fail to understand is that he's not getting a fight with Canelo not before Canelo fights Cotto. Even then GBP won't rush that fight they will milk Canelo against lesser guys to make money in a hope that he gets old or moves up. He's not getting a fight with Canelo for a long time. Boxing is a business so GBP will want a big return on their Canelo investment.

Canelo is still young enough to be GBP's cashcow for years to come, a loss to GGG won't change this, Oscar himself lost most of his biggest fights yet kept getting the big fights and the $$$

Those names that you're talking about at 160 aren't bigger than the names at 168. Groves, Froch, Ward Degale, Dirrell much better than the guys at 160.

The Dirrell-Jack fight was a fight where Jack executed the perfect game plan and beat Dirrell clearly. Just because Jack has a glass jaw doesn't mean he's garbage. And yes, a win over the much bigger Jack and Dirrell are obviously better wins than Daniel Geale who's gonna lost to a shot WW and Matthew ****ing Macklin.. lmfao.

Groves lost and got beat by the legend Carl Froch. Degale-Groves I head was a close fight. I've never seen it so I can't comment on it. Either way, of course.. he beats them and knock them out in England, the legend grows.

Having a belt doesn't necessarily mean he would get shots at other guys though. That's what I was alluding to. He has belts now but guys now aren't going out of their way to fight him. It's always, "yeah I would, but not now." He could just as well be as avoided as he is now if he were to move up and continue doing what he's doing. Yes, it would of course look better and do more for his legacy, resume and P4P rankings, but it's no guarantee much would change.

He has far better options at 160 -aside from Ward who is the only option at 168- plus he is building a legacy, especially if he surpasses Hopkins. That would be quite an accomplishment for a fighter that did not turn pro until later in his 20's. No one else who is a Champ fights 3-4 times a year.

Yes it will if Canelo beats Cotto he will be the WBC champ and you know how much the WBC loves Mexican champs. They want Canelo to be their champ that's why they won't stand in the way of a Cotto-Canelo fight. Canelo if he beats Cotto won't fight GGG for atleast 2 years he has no real incentive to do it. He can sell out arenas fighting top 10 guys and do good PPV numbers.:deal Canelo doesn't need GGG but GGG does need Canelo.

Cotto was a shot to **** midget WW who Martinez cherry picked for his retirement check. He cherry picked wrong and got knocked out. Cotto already got embarrassed by Austin Trout 2 fights ago, everyone knows GGG is the best MW in the world.

Murray however lost to the shot to **** one legged Martinez though. And this is GGG's 2nd best win next to Geale.. :rofl

Like who? These so called options at 160 won't fight him meanwhile these names at 168 all want a piece of him.:deal

so being physically bigger gives you a higher P4P ranking? boxing skill is second to size?

You are right with Froch and Ward. Froch is basically retired and according to his camp only interested in another very big money fight in Vegas. Golovkin cannot give him that. Ward is fighting at LHW and it is doubtful that we'll see him again at SMW. Groves, Degale and the Dirrels are no big names.

The only intriguing fight at SMW for Golovkin would be Dirrel. He won't make more money with that fight than at 160 though.

Canelo is a bigger fight than all of those super middleweights put together. Triple G can get all the mw belts in the next year or two. when Canelo is tired of killing himself to get to 155 & the may, pac & cotto's are retired he'll have no other huge fight and Triple G can beat his ass at 160.

If you beat guys bigger than you, obviously it means more than fighting midgets who are either equally or less skilled.

P4P= pound for pound. If GGG, a 160 fighter moves up and knocks out guys in another weight class, his legacy and legend grow.
