Why is GGG wasting his prime fighting tomato cans?

Carl Froch and Andre Ward at SMW. At MW, fight Canelo-Cotto winner if that fight ends up happening, or a consolation prize of the winner of Dirrell-Degale fight.

Besides those, a fight with lara would be good as well. He has a couple options.

all true, but if Canelo beats MW Ring Champ Cotto, he has to fight GGG sooner or later, GBP won't stop this

GGG is a fresh 33, he hasn't been KTFO'd or taken abuse, Martinez won his first title at 35 if I recall

The Cotto-Canelo winner isn't fighting GGG I don't know why people even bring that up.

Canelo is a 24 year old who's the only superstar in the Golden Boy stable. GGG is 33 years old, this is his prime now. He's not going to get any better than he is now.

Canelo already faced and lost to Floyd after a big step up in class. No way in hell Oscar brings Canelo anywhere near GGG. Canelo is going to wait till GGG is old. 4 years is nothing to Canelo, can the same by said for GGG.

I didn't say he did. I put Matthew Macklin as in Matthew ****ing Macklin. The guy is a joke and eurobum. Who cares if GGG beats him. I want to see him beat bigger and better men to enhance his legacy. Austin Trout post Canelo beats everyone currently at MW right now excluding Quillin. That's how garbage the division is.

I have no doubt that Canelo if he had his choice would fight GGG today but GBP won't allow it. Not until they milk him for awhile and make lesser risky fights. Boxing is a business it makes no sense for them to put Canelo in with GGG now or even a year from now they won't do it, they want him to be the next face of boxing.:deal They can fight mandos and top 10 guys and make good money with Canelo. They will wait a few years time is on their side and wait for GGG to get older to make the fight or hope in fact that he does indeed move up. GBP and Canelo hold all the cards here.

age is relative. Triple G loves to fight and is willing to train hard. he can last a long time yet. he won't get any better physically but he's always sharpening his game.

Martinez blew out his knee's after the Chavez fight. A damaged goods, no knee Martinez beat Murray in front of 50 thousand Argentine's.

Of course Martinez thought he could beat Cotto, that's why he cherry picked him. If he didn't, he would of cashed out fighting GGG but choose Cotto because Cotto is a midget, a WW, shot, and lost to Austin Trout in his fight before.

Hopkins MW reign sucked, his only great win in that weight class was Felix Trinidad.

He's not a legend because of his MW reign, he's a legend for his longevity, overall resume, and the fact that he was the oldest lineal champion in boxing history.

Are you honestly trying to compare Macklin to Hopkins?

Saint Groves got beat by Froch who is a top 10 P4P fighter no shame in it he's still a good fighter and isn't done
Froch isn't officially retired would fight GGG if offered the fight
Ward can still make 168 and would to fight GGG there
Degale is a good boxer who could indeed give GGG fits
Andre Dirrell said he would fight GGG and would be arguably the best name on GGG's resume.

On the other hand 160 is a waste land of unknown talent and big names who won't fight GGG. Which one makes more sense fight at 168 against guys who would fight him or stay at 160 fighting no hopers and regional level talent?

Jesus Christ, you fake GGG fans are cringe worthy. Nobody at SMW is willing to face GGG because he's still fighting tomato cans at 168. They don't have to face him to enhance their legacy, but he needs them.

I, as a boxing fan want to see GGG utilize his talent and natural power to the best of his abilities. Nobody at 160 can push him, they're all mixed with tomato cans, prospects, and Welterweights. Winning and defending a strap in another weight class is clearly more meaningful than winning and defending in a weight class where you're already dominant.

    :lol::rofl
If you think the WBC will strip Cotto with a chance that Canelo could be their champ you're crazy. The WBC wants Canelo to wear their belt they won't strip Cotto if he has either PBF or Canelo lined up.:deal

How could you possibly know this? He hasn't fought since 2013 and is now fighting at 172.

For a money fight against someone of note he can make 168. Against Paul Smith or whatever his name is he won't.
