No I've been watching boxing for year mandos will get screwed if a more intriguing matchup becomes available and that match up for the WBC would be Cotto vs Canelo or PBF. Im going to be laughing my ass off when one of these two fights is annocuned next and Cotto is still the WBC champ. You're the ignorant one my friend ignorant of the business of boxing.:hi:

Groves doesn't want to fight Golovkin, Groves thinks Mayweather should fight Golovkin.

The man was confident he could beat Cotto. If he wasn't, he wouldn't have taken the fight and claim he was gonna fight GGG after. If he were to beat Cotto which the majority of the world here thought, then Martinez was gonna fight GGG for a unification fight. That didn't happen though and he got knocked out by the midget.

Again, if he didn't think he was gonna win, then why accept all of Cotto's demands, get less money than him, and get hilariously knocked out by a shot, short, damaged goods fighter who wasn't even ranked at 154 let alone 160?

Martinez is still embarrassed to this day at that lost. The guy retired and can't face his fans anymore. If he wanted to go out with a bang, he'd of fought GGG before Cotto.

Golovkin isn't going to get the WBC MW title. If he wants the green belt, his best chance is to move up and fight Jack(which he can do easily).

The WBC is not gonna risk the money that Cotto-Canelo or Floyd-Cotto can make. Cotto is a coward because he wants money fights before his retirement? This is the same Cotto who lost to Austin Trout 2 fights ago and almost got knocked out by Floyd Mayweather at 154. He's looking to retire soon so he can look out for his money grubbing wife and gay stepson.

Lol, the only coward here is GGG who has been spending the last 5 years waiting to fight a cripple(Martinez), a shot midget(Cotto) and a WW(Floyd).

No. His only chance is to wait 4 more years only to be knocked out by a younger more prime Canelo, or fight Geale again if Cotto happens to lose.

You seriously think Murray, Macklin and Geale are arguably better H2H than DeGale, Groves and Dirrell? :yikes

The same Macklin that lost to some guy called Andrew Facey, got knocked out by Jamie Moore and failed everytime hes stepped up to world level?

The same Geale that lost to domestic levellers Barker and Mundine and struggled badly with Jarrod Fletcher in his last fight?

The same Murray that should have lost to Khomitsky, Sturm and got beat by a severely compromised Martinez?

Not only are DeGale, Dirrell and Groves much more talented and skilled fighters, they're much bigger guys and much bigger punchers. H2H its not even close.

Edit: I mean Andre Dirrell although Anthony would still probably be GGGs best win

He could of made a bigger payday being the A side vs Golovkin, fighting on HBO with 60k Argentine fans in the stadium, and passing the torch and retiring gracefully. But he didn't.

He was confident he can pick on a shot WW, collect an easy payday, then fight GGG.

We both know what happened after. The man is still embarrassed to this day, lmfao.

Yes he can, and you GGG fanboys would accept that as a legit fight. :rofl

You want your boy to succeed so bad in a dead division, that it's harming his legacy. He's not young. He's 33, this is it, this is his prime. He's not gonna get any better than this. I honestly can't understand you people.

Your question is irrelevant and I honestly don't see what this has to do with anything. I can't think of any from the top of my head at this moment, but I'm pretty sure there have been. And if they have, they certainly wouldn't do it against a shot fighter from a weight class below who wasn't even ranked in the top 20.

Of course there was more money to be made for Martinez if he fought GGG and became the A side, he could of even fought Froch in England and made millions.

Why do you think Martinez was so angry at Cotto's demands? Cotto dictated everything even though Martinez was the Middleweight champion of the world. He was angry and called Cotto a diva and promised to knock him out. Just like Hagler, he expected this to be a cake walk. Hagler accepted all of Leonard demands but they both lost to the smaller fighter and retired out of embarrassment and frustration.

He has no need to step up, for what? Who is there willing to fight him? Chavez Jr. went o LHW to avoid GGG, he even withdrew from the contract just a few days before it was signed.

Ward doesn't even fight, he's not relevant. Stop mentioning this guy please, he had his oportunity to fight GGG but he did not. He fought Rodriguez, then he was again inactive for over a year and now he fights Abraham's leftovers.

Froch? He said he is not going to fight GGG and with his style, it was also a healthy decision. Froch is looking for an easy, last fight to make some good money and then we won't hear from him again.

Would Abraham ever fight GGG? Sturm? I hope you know the answer already.

So who else is there? The Dirrell brothers? De Geale? Not worth moving up. Chudniov? Please no.

He has upcoming fights, intresting fights against

    Cotto
    Canelo
    Quillin
    Lemieux
    Eubank Jr.

    And maybe even Floyd.

So, there is no, not even one single reason to step up. SMW is dead anyway, most boring weigh class in boxing imo.

Lol, you seem upset man. Stopped reading after those childish insults.

I'll just leave it at this.

You want GGG to stay at MW fighting bums and midgets without enhancing his legacy, that's fine.. Chris John did the same thing at FW and had a very respectable career, although he at least had a win over a prime ATG in his resume. GGG is not Hopkins and fights nothing like him. Hopkins is an anomaly, that's why he's such a legend and ATG. Just because Hopkins did it, doesn't mean GGG will. 33 is old no matter how you spin it. I want GGG to dare to be great. He's the most exciting thing in boxing since a young Pacquaio. Move up and be great like the other legends did did.

Who do you want him to fight at 168?

    Froch is retiring.

Chavez is under Haymon's protection and already pulled out.

Groves, Degale, Jack, Anthony Dirrell, Abraham, and Steiglitz are good fights but nothing special.

Andre Dirrell would be nice (just to see him get brain damaged again), but still not a big fight.

Ward is really the only option, and the risk of losing far outweighs the reward from winning. And it's still not a big fight.

If GGG stays at 160 he can get Alvarez, Cotto, or both. At the very least, people will keep talking about him alongside those names. This means when he does finally move up, all those fights that aren't very big right now will sell much better.

There is literally no reason to move up right now unless it's for Froch or Chavez.

Lol Jesus Christ, I think this guy is serious too.. :rofl:lol:

You just named a bunch of WW's, tomato cans, and prospects. GGG has already dominated the MW division, as dead as it is. You claim Froch and Ward won't fight GGG due to near retirement, but mention Cotto(shot WW about to retire who has 2 fights lined up) and Floyd(shot WW who last fought at 147 and is about to retire).

You can't make this **** up, :rofl. You guys aren't fans, just parasites. Not only is the SMW division currently better than the MW division, GGG has the chance of conquering another weight class. You clowns honestly believe beating up midgets and tomato cans in a division you already dominate is better than beating bigger men in another division. :rofl
