Why is Golovkin fighting some random midget who got knocked out by a journeyman and not Kid Chocolate?

He's 31 now and needs to start fighting the big guys. And as far as I'm aware Quillin wants it to happen.

Golovkin only fights on HBO. Quillin is not welcomed to fight on HBO.

Because Quillen said the fight "doesn't make sense" and would need to be a PPV headliner worth big money. In other words, he doesn't want it.

Murray and Barker's respective promoters have said the time's not right, the money's not there etc too. He's fighting Stevens because no-one else is very eager to face him, simple as that.

It's a damn shame innit? Quillin's on the other side of the promoters' Iron Curtain an' if you work your way down the list of the MW top 15 or so, they've either got summit lined up ( JCC- Vera , perhaps) just fought (Barker -Geale) injured etc. or are outta the equation (Maravilla, Quillin).
Although he ain't really proved himself at MW, Steven's been making the noises and got himself a coupla of recent special KOs and being a NY kid should help to fill the seats at MSG theatre.

Money..is the simple answer, which means keeping GGG in the public eye.

Stevens has the KO power to make it interesting on paper, but not many believe he's got anything but a slim punchers' chance. HBO can sell this fight on the highlight reel KOs alone if need be, and they're pursuing an aggressive policy of marketing their own stars - hence, it gets made.

    Because Quillin doesn't make sense.

  6. Because Quillin is a coward and ducks GGG since years.

They have contracts on different networks, so the fight won't happen in the near future.

I'm guessing that, if they were on the same network with the same promoter, Quillen would claim there isn't enough money in the fight and say something about baking a cake, hoping GGG get's JuanMa'd before he has to fight him.

Quillin will NEVER fight GGG. He knows the outcome and it won't be in his favor. Besides, he has still not reached his most profitable stage so his handlers still need to soak some cash out of his fights against old men and has-beens.

Stevens idiot fans want to see the fight. Where there is supply there is demand. So the fight is probably gonna happen.

WTC 7 was controlled demolition. You can the see the police saying get back it is gonna blow. Then the building falling down at free fall speed, no resistance like dropping an apple from a roof, even though it wasnt hit by a plane, or didn't suffer intense structural damage do to a fire. The fire wans't even that bad in WTC 7. If WTC 7 was a demolition, which it was, we can see why WTC 1 & 2 dropped so quickly.

I'm sorry, who's headlined 2 HBO shows and who's still fighting on undercards?

It doesn't make sense in the way that the feud between showtime and HBO.
Money wise and name wise, Golovkin is higher in both

What do you mean? All the MWs are on HBO. Quillin is having to fight on undercards or Fox Sports 1.
