Murray cant get a visa to the US, thats why he fought Martinez in Argentina & Sturm in Germany, no duck there. Martinez fought Chavez Jr in the biggest fight at 160 for the last few years, he got injured in that fight & then fought the very tough Murray in his comeback fight and got injured again, no duck there. Barker just fought Geale for the World title & has to take care of his mandatory before fighting anyone else, no duck there.
He's ducked, period and this is a stay busy fight. 3G is a natural MW. He fits well in this weight class. Quillin is duck him, well he has a good excuse. He hides under the 'different networks excuse bull****'. Chavez is a lhw - cruiser weight. Barker wants to milk that IBF title. Murray will be a good fight for 3G but even if this fight happens and 3G beats Murray wouldn't mean so much in terms of good exposure / media / marketing etc. He would probably be more avoided. 3G needs a fight with a good/known name like Canelo, Martinez or Ward. At smw there are some good fights for 3G like Ward, Froch, Kessler, Abraham and Bika but 3G is probably more interested to establish himself @ MW.
canelo vs ggg at 160 would be very interesting. i'm sure canelo would need a warm up fight at 160 before a ggg fight, but at 160 i would have to go with ggg at this point.
What elite fighter he have beat?? he is a paper champ!!! when he faces a live body in the ring a beat him...them we talk......hype boy
Hasn't he fought like 4 times this year with that fight included? I think that he deserves to take a "easy" fight in the mean time.
There are plenty of other threads on here that you can go to and discuss the 147lb division. We'll keep talking about what we want to talk about.
Lower opposition is acceptable with frequent activity. But the way fans and media talk about him, at the moment, GGG is probably THE most overrated boxer today.
I dunno Donaire ate **** for fighting Jorge Arce as his 4th fight in 2012. After he had beaten Vazquez Jr, Mathebula, and the #1 Nishioka. Nishioka is better than any three wins in Golovkins' whole career combined. So I would say those who even mildly criticized Donaire last year should be condemning Golovkin and making thread after thread about how big of a coward he is... That is if boxing fans weren't massive hypocrites who spit in the wind.
