I'm trying to figure how this fight is being justified as PPV, last I checked America does not know Gennady Golovkin. Who exactly is the market for this fight? Pac Fans?
Mexicans perhaps? They haven't set the bar very high for this PPV. IIRC, if this PPV hits anything above 200K then it will be considered a success. I personally think it does anywhere between 150-225K. I didn't buy Mayweather's last two fights and I'm certainly not paying for what is at best a HBO WCB level contest...
I believe this fight is marketed to FIGHT fans. Not everybody enjoys track meets with occasional hugging, but to each their own
130k, like I asked when I wrote this thread, why is this on PPV, this was a 100% Boxing After Dark level card!
ESPN SportsNation 2x, ESPN LA Radio 5x, Sirius XM Radio with Stephen A. Smith, ESPN Sportscenter, EPSN Making the Rounds, ESPN ESPY's....
HBO is trying to force Lil G onto the public, they trying to make a guy in his 30s a star, if he was destined to be a PPV star it would of happened years ago!
You were spot on with this thread it was a legit question. Anyone who is real knows this fight wasn't ppv worthy.
