This does not make any sense. Neither of these guys are PPV fighters. This will bomb and do no more then 100K. It is better for both fighters to fight on free TV to get the exposure they need to build their fanbases.
I'm more excited for this fight than all of the others put together 135-147 has always been the pinnacle of the sport
True & you know if they started promoting it earlier & repeatedly they could have done a way better job, Top Rank have given up promoting all together.
No i just think they don't care for it anymore which is strange as it's just hindering not only just them overall but their fighters in the long run, imagine Loma fighting in the 2007-2013 era he would be way more well known & appreciated as it seems even to this day there's not many that know or care or rally behind him especially for a fighter of his caliber, Even Showtime have reduced their promoting programming, their All Access is usually just one episode or two episodes for matches big as Plant/Benavidez whereas they used to have 3-4 episodes of them with a lot more effort put into them kind of like the old HBO days where it felt so much bigger, it's with their help is how those fighters became such larger than life athletes, And then you got DAZN not only is their production seem uninteresting but it's only a couple of 10 minute videos chucked here & there for the hell of it without any real great directing or production, so cheap, You would think at least they could pour out more content on their official YouTube channels with co segments & interviews, backstage, etc but they don't even bother with that & to think they actually have people employed just for that reason, I see more effort from various boxing channels with their fan made videos then with the network companies.
Loma is the outsider ...strange i think he wins, Haney is a safety first kind of boxer, without much punching power ( 6 out of 10 )
Bob Arum is 91, he doesn't have the same energy to make sure all the little things get done like he used to. Additionally, Loma is nearing retirement and Haney seems to wander from network to network so this is going to be more of a cash out than a build up type of fight.
True but his Son in law has been the one handling the business throughout the last many years while Bob sits back, i guess you could contribute it to him for while it has pummeled down since.
I feel like this is more of a issue with boxing fans Haney vs loma is a better fight and more deserving of ppv than plant vs Benavidez or tank vs Ryan yet nobody is really complaining about buying tho…
