Ricky Hattons homecoming fight in Britain is meant to be a gift to the fans. He said he turned down a bigger pay day in Amercia which isnt such a hard thing to do when you are already a multi millionaire so he can fight in front of British fans in UK time. He says it is a way to say 'thankyou' to them. Yet some thankyou it is to demand that to watch the fight on TV you will have to shell out £15 to see him fight a opponnet nobody is intrested in while he ducks the WBC rival champion from near by Sheffield. Amazingly Hatton said after claiming his america fights were to fund his pension and after banking a reported £10 million from the Mayweather fight it has never been about the money for him but pride and glory like some kind of peoples champion. He has never given the people what they want - a fight with witter. Who will be mug enough to pay for this fight?

I wont be watching,im not paying £15 to watch 2 fighters fight it out for the IBO belt!! and lazcano does not deserve to challenge for the ring magazine belt. I would rather watch paulie on the undercard as i know he will fight a good fight against lovemore.

watch out now for hatton fans saying lazcano is credible and its a fight that will lead up to a bigger fight with paulie and that its a gd fight after being knocked out bla bla bla.........but it aint worth £15 of my money!!! ill be watching junior on ITV for free m8!!!

it's a decent card in honesty and a real building block towards his fight with malignaggi, but the honesty is i dont want to pay no ****ing £15 for sky box office,at least its on at a reasonable hour, means i can go to the pub to watch it,fingers crossed.

remember all fights like this are ppv here, lewis fighting **** opposition was ppv,as was hamed.it isnt ricky's fault it's sky knowing it will sell and being selfish all at once.

Good point. Has anyone stopped to think that it might be Sky, rather than Hatton, that are responsible for the £15 PPV?

I hate this IBO crap...Ricky is still the ring magazine and lineal light-welter champion. The IBO doesn't mean anything. The other 2 do.

As for the price, you can't blame a man for earning a living. I'm sure he's on a % from the PPV but after doing 2m ppv's for a fight at 3 in the morning, that can only be a good thing for Ricky.

I was just updating my boxing calendar today and was surprised to find out that this was being aired on Vs! Hey....I'll take it! This is only 2 weeks away. Also, Malignaggi - Ndou.

Because Hatton fans would pay to watch him hit a traffic cone with a hammer.
