Why is haye claiming he is the hardest hitting heavyweight ?

Haye has very good power. Enough to hurt anyone. He would be right up there in the power department.

 

Woulda, coulda, shoulda....somehow these words always come up when discussing Haye's career. He's a theoretical ATG. Too bad he doesn't actually accomplish anything in the ring.

 

Haye is claiming he is the hardest hitting heavyweight, because now with more weight he is no longer able to tell us that he is the quickest heavyweight. It's probably as simple as that.

 

To be fair, he is still probably the quickest. I can't think of a quicker Heavyweight off the top of my head.

Haye gets a lot of stick on this forum. For being a loud mouth and not backing it up, toe-gate, his celebrity lifestyle and now for his choice of opposition. However, he is still incredibly fast and has 1 punch KO power. A motivated Haye is a tough night for almost any Heavyweight in the world.

He might be right and if he isn't he's not far off. Say what you want about him but he does punch very hard.

Against who?

Look at his fight against the best in the division. He found his level and had to go back down there when fighting Chisora. He nearly had the ***** to fight Fury but then didnt and now everyone knows why.

 

You mean when has he proved he is a hard puncher? You can tell just by looking that the guy has solid power. Has he knocked out many top guys? no. Maybe he just couldn't find the target. This thread is focusing on his power and from what I've seen of him throughout his career, his punches look very hard.

 

It's not all that out of the realm of possibility, Haye is a legit banger (whatever you think of his mouth).

He's right there with Joshua, Ortiz, Stiverne etc....
