Why is Haye getting a pass for ducking again?

Haye refuses to fight Vlad, as he already broke a signed contract. He broke an implied contract with Vitali. Haye was offered 50/50 for a fight with Vlad and Vitali will probably do the same, but "Where is Haye?"

Your words imply some sort of respect. The same respect we have for crafty con artists or genius criminals. He "pulled it off". But who wins? He does. Haye and Booth are laughing all the way to the bank, snickering how they fooled millions of boxing fans. We - the boxing fans - lose.

patience people. remember in the five days after shane signed to fight floyd?

everyone screamed blue murder calling him a floyd, but then... he signed!

lets just see who haye's next fight is, then we can deride or applaud the credibility.

personally, i'd like it against either

    chagaev, solis, thompson or vitali

Once again, blinded by your hate, you don't see the facts....or maybe you're just misinformed, again!

Vitali earned a shot at Lewis in late 2002, beating Larry Donald. Klaus Peter Kohl immediately contacted Lewis's team to negotiate a fight. Lewis then opted for a defense against fatass Kirk Johnson. Johnson injured himself, and I've also read (unverified) that the WBC wouldn't sanction the fight because of a contractual agreement to face Klitschko. So on 2 weeks notice Vitali stepped in as a replacement. Vitali was winning the fight against Lewis when it was stopped. Lewis promised a rematch, then after he watched Vitali deal with Kirk Johnson, he ran off and retired. You say Vitali counted on Lewis being on the slide. Totally not true. But at the same time, Lewis counted on Vitali not being prepared and not being able to adapt to him, and he was severely mistaken.

When a fighter works their way into the mandatory challenger position, it's not their responsibilty that the defending champion is in shape or on the slide or not. The champion should be prepared to defend his title, against any challenger. Wlad is ready to put 4 belts on the line, but David Haye is scared to put up his paper WBA belt. Kinda reinforces what we already know; Wladimir is real champion.

In 2002, Wladimir was WBO champ with 4-5 defenses (not a contender as you put it) and repeatedly called for a fight with Lewis, however Klaus Peter Kohl didn't want to make that fight and risk the WBO belt. It was safer to let Vitali go after it. There was no waiting game played by the Klitschko's.

Neither case remotely resembles what Haye has done over the last 18 months. The Klitschko's never talked ****, disrespected anyone and then went into hiding. They never said they were the likes of Ali, Marciano and Louis and were going promise the world, only to fake back injuries, broken hands and whine about needing time to rest or deal with a pregnant wife. FYI, when Vitali won the eliminator against Donald, his second child was born that night several hours before.

And if your sense of boxing history ended when Lewis retired and the heavyweight division is ****, why are you still on boxing forums today, pretending to know what's what?

Exactly. Haye keeps telling us how he's "in it for the glory" and how he "doesn't care about money" but the truth is this is all about money for him.

He could care less if we see the fights we wanna see. All him and Booth care about is filling their coffers with cold hard coin and they don't give a damn about heavyweight boxing and the progression of the division.

If anything Haye has now become an obstacle for the division, not a breath of fresh air.

Don't you see the explanation is pointless? Let them live in their own matrix. Klits are dushbag hypocrites and Haye is a noble knight that gonna save us all along with the HW division.

As someone who is to save entire division he should get in offer at least 90%.
Btw is that true that IBF haven't closed negotiations yet?

Or both Klitschkos could tell him to get ****ed and leave him to fight the Audley Harrisons of this world, no one would blame them for doing so. If he takes another two fights before fighting a Klitschko, Vitali could be retired by then so he will have no choice but to fight Wlad. Haye is not as clever as you give him credit for.

I've said it before. I think the Klits should now ignore Haye. What's the point. It has become a waste of time.

Haye is supported by hoardes of delusional nuthugging British fanboys. Nothing he does will make them question him. NOTHING. As soon as their hero fails to deliver on something they themselves claimed he would, the goalposts are moved and so on it goes. They are as pathetic as any other set of fanboys, though they do seem particularly delusional and set in their views. In reality they are no more ridiculous than those Pavlik sack lickers etc.

    Haye is a running fraud.

Seriously, you're a guy with 17,000 posts. Somebody who has an interest in boxing obviously. How on earth could you be so deluded to write the above?

    1. Where (aside from Haye's camp) did you hear the Klits are very arrogant and dismissing in negotiations? Between the two brothers they have fought something like 80 opponents and fought in something like 20 title fights.

Who else other than David Haye was complaining that the Klits were disrespectful in negotiations? Post a list please.

    2. Haye was a voluntary challenger. Are you (the guy with 17,000 posts) surprised he was offered a smaller cut than the champion? Are you kidding me? Also, are you surprised that he had to sign rematch clauses?

If so: Then why did he sign the exact same rematch clauses with Sauerland/Don King to fight Valuev?
