Why is Haye getting so much hate over the Klit negotiations?

****, I actually got three paragraphs in to a reply to this, only to **** it up by accidently clicking a link (i'm on my phone). There's no way i'm writing all that again on this shitty touchscreen. You have my assurances that what I was preparing to post was eloquent, witty, insightful and would've more than likely resulted in you issuing me an apology. We can just skip to that bit if you like :hey

I trust that your reply is all that you say it would be.

I was going to post a heartfelt and moving apology, but accidentally pressed 'submit' before I could do so.

Exactly but jack revises things to try to protect haye much like claiming vitaly had not called out haye even though he did in several interviews. he has to try to justify things for haye because his heavyweight career has been a hyped up joke. Negotiations have never been public for a fight so to try to justify his flawed argument he tries to change the meaning of public negotiations to fit his argument.

Shaunster is an excellent poster, without question. I don't often disagree with him but even if I did, I'd respect his posts. I don't see him as biased. Good lad.

I think Haye got into this situation by promising too much and delivering too little. His legion of 'fans' were really HOPING and PRAYING that he would breathe new life into a mediocre division but they were let down again and again. This hope has turned into frustration and then in turn HATE. I think the problem lies with Haye in thinking that he is the HOTTEST property in HW atm - the man who can bring the $$$ to the table therefore who should be calling the shots, and not neccessarily the man with the MOST belts. I suspect the July 2nd fight with Wlad fell through due to both mens' EGO and reluctance to accept that they need each other for a mega fight. With his retirement on the horizon Haye would have preferably wanted Wlad and then Vitali as his last 2 fights as they would have been the biggest moneymaking bouts for him. Now it seems most likely the 'worst' he can do is fight the best mandatory there is and then one of the klitschko Bros.....

The basic difference between us is what you consider public. As any promoter or fighter can release any details they choose to, that means it's a public deal. If they are specifically banned, that means it's not public.

If Arum or any other promoters wants to record negotiations, they can do. There is nothing stopping them. That's why they are public. If they choose not to, they are still public.

The only contracts I know of which are always private, are those that the Klitschko's are involved in.

Jack, just give it up already. :patsch You're embarrasing yourself again. You don't know what you're talking about, and you're the only person here on this thread that believes the nonsense you're coming up with to define public and private. The rest of us that live in the real world understand the difference.
