Why is Haye the early (heavy) betting favorite over Chisora?

    I don't give a **** what you analyze.

Fact remains, IB is an objective observer and (at least in this instance) the same cannot be said for you.

    I agree with the odds.

Chisora did really well against Helenius and Vitaly, but there are some questions marks regarding injuries etc in those fights.

Also Haye has better wins at top level than Chisora has.

So despite Chisora looking really good in recent fights... Haye has to be the favorite.

Yes, because in 52,000+ posts, I probably made a grand total of less than 50 about Haye. Clearly this illustrates my intense obsession.

    Who?

    The Great Audley Harrison?

    John The Quiet Man?

SNV (which Haye was luck to escape with the victory)?

Were any of these guys even really at the "top level" when Haye beat them?

Chisora is going to destroy Haye. Dereck has a steel jaw and will be able to take Haye's best punches. But when Chisora lands his own bombs, Haye's glass jaw will shatter.

tough to bet on a guy whose only real chance of winning is by KO.

come the eighth round if chisora hasnt landed anything of signifigance his chances are pretty slim.

you have to lean haye here, suspect chin and all.

Agreed, but he made his name at cruiserweight.

If you ask me who the better p4p fighter is, prime Haye at cruiser or current prime HW Chisora - I'd say the former.

Haye has always been a fraud of a great HW though, and has never done ANYTHING at the weight to make him a favorite over anything but journeymen and former champs/contenders who are shot to ****. Against any top contender he should be no better than even money...even in this ****-weak division.

And in spite of his ugly record, Chisora is a top contender in this ****-weak division.

I can't wrap my head around it either.

I understand why people favour him, but I don't understand huge favouritism.
Haye hasn't shown massive power in the HW ranks, he has a very low punchoutput, and Chisora's style seems to be a very difficult matchup for him.

    I favour Chisora (just)
