Why is he??? He has lost 3 of his last 5 fights Audley Harrison has a better recent record than that!!
aside the decision loss to calzaghe, on face value alone i think many had winky wright #2 or #3 p4p before there fight regardless of weight class of the fight he won that, before that tarver which it can be disputed all day that he had weight problems but he won that, also im not sure but dont box rec use a computer ranking system so that might have something to do with it?
lol. yeah but audley didnt face JT twice, winky wright, tarver or joe calzaghe. he faced skelton, sprott and williams etc. **** **** and ****!lol
I do know that the fighters are given points based on their performance and level of opposition they have faced.
people still continue to ride the b-hop wagon. face it he's getting old and could not continue his pace against someone who is called a SLAPPER by many folks on this site.
Because there is no proper way, mathematically or scientifically, you can properly gage the greatness that is Bernard "F'n" Hopkins. It is simply unattainable, so you must guesstimate to the best of your ability. OBVIOUSLY... # 3 is WAY too low; but that is the way of such things. Measuring Bernard's awesomeness by the same measure used to conduct such things for other fighters, is foolhardy and containing of little merit... but it is all that we have to work with. Bernard Hopkins' win/loss record is but a slice of the pie needed to correctly ascertain his true worth as a living legend... but again... this is all that they have to work with. Please... be patient with them, for they know not what they do. :good
Boxrec seems to be too stringent in the awarding of points towards fighters, and also in taking them away after a loss. For instance, Tim Bradley, in my opinion, beat Junior Witter 116-112, yet because one pissed up judge gives it to Witter, Bradders hardly gets any points for beating the consensus No.2 in the division! You also get some oddballs - for instance, Mayweather was P4P #2 with Boxrec prior to Hatton, who was #4, with Hopkins way out in front. Floyd then produces one of his best performances (2nd best IMO) yet gets no additional points, Hatton loses a boat load to drop to #12 and Hopkins remains #1 - bearing in mind his most recent win came against a beached whale!!
If anyone would simply ready, they are computer generated rankings. Please calm down. Hopkins is crap we all know this.
