Why is Hopkins so widely expected to beat RJJ?

Cause Jones is shot and Hopkins isn't. Though shot, RJJ is still good enough to beat some top guys.

pretty much. jones will go into defensive mode and get pounded over the full length of the fight. hopkins wins comfortable decision but not KO.
granted, jones is shot, but will he be hopkins first KO in 6 years? doesn't seem likely.

For me the main reason is that Jones losing his natural abilities yet still thinks that he can do the stuff he did in his younger days. Hopkins has adjusted to old age, Jones has not. He got dominated by Calzaghe and got KO'd in one by Green.

Sylistically though, Jones should have a better shot against Hopkins.

coz RJJ is shot while BHop, despite his age, is almost prime. Simple

you might think this fight will only make jones overall record keep getting worst, or perhaps for hopkins surprisingly

however... if you're in their position, 1 losing record vs multimillion $$$... you'll probably pick the second

Hopkins has recently carved out a career of beating people smaller than him. RJJ is not smaller, so Roy will win.

I've seen BHop's last few fights.

I've seen Roy's last few fights.

    1+1 still = 2 in my world.
