Bowe had a better motor than Lewis. You had to be strong and fight at a fast pace to beat a prime Holyfield. Lennox didn't throw as many punches as Riddick did.

I guess you're going to believe what you want to believe.

But if you think Lewis should have just accepted fighting for next to nothing, despite the fact the public clearly perceived this as a duck by Bowe, and no manager in his right mind would accept this ridiculous offer, then you've already chosen to believe what you want dispite he evidence presented, so what's the point of discussing it any further?

There were times throughout their two fights, that Lennox erred a bit too much on the side of caution.
If he'd opened up a bit more,he could have stopped Holyfield. Bowe threw caution to the wind.

I reckon that Bowe would have beaten Lennox, circa 1992-93. The best Lewis existed round about 1997-99. That version would have won against prime Bowe, imo.

I don't know to much about how the purse was going to be split in the Bowe vs Lewis fight, I might study up on it more one day. Maybe they both are to blame Lewis would not fight for 3 million and I heard Bowe did not want to fight for a 50|50 split. I heard Bowe say Lewis was offered the same deal that he fought Evander for and it was turned down.

If one of Bowe or Lewis came out and said they ducked the other then I would believe it. But Belts get lost like that all the time even Lewis lost his belts that way.

The reasons they never fought when they were suposed too. 1/Olympic final, 2/Lewis-Ruddock.

I think reason #2 is the main reason they never fought. After all, Bowe was willing to fight Jorge Gonzales, who had also stopped him in the amateurs (and had also beaten Lewis in the ams, I believe). Lewis' smash-out of Ruddock (who Bowe had previously declined to fight) sent a shockwave through the entire division.
