Everyone is obsessed with floyd. They just don't want to admit it

 

wrong. Noone except a couple of brits actually thought Hatton would move up to WW and beat Floyd. When Floyd took that fight, most people thought he should have fought Cotto instead.

the guys who people said could beat Floyd have always been Cotto, Margarito, and PW.

So Floyd has fought none of the guys that people were saying could bat him.


When Hatton beat JLC, everyone said JLC was shot. Hatton was actually a big favorite to win that fight. Everyone know JLC was shot before that fight.

Im just constantly baffled as to why some people put 'everyone' instead of many,some,several,majority, etc etc.

Styles do make fights so if Cotto didn't have the skillset to beat the type of guy like Margarito is he really a tougher fight for Floyd? Not only was Cotto on a round by round decline before the TKO but he was losing on two of the three cards; one was a draw.

Since Cotto got TKO'd by Margarito in a brutal fight and Margarito hasn't ever been put away I can't see how he could put up a better fight than Margarito. Not to mention after a possible rematch.

Margarito is just a bigger, stronger, pressure fighter and Cotto's boxing wasn't his biggest asset. Cotto is going to have to come at Floyd in order to win. Cotto boxing with Mayweather? Not a chance.

 

I completly disagree. There was no all of a sudden with regard to margarito. Way before there was even talk of a fight with Cotto people thought he had the tools to beat floyd. The whole 8 million offer and the floyd is ducking margo talk was going on before Cotto even moved to 147. It is a fight that has been in demand for very long time the win over Cotto simply reinforced what fans had already been saying for years.
