You don't have to be a Floyd fan to know he is one of the greatest technical boxers of all time.

    The same goes for Pacquiao.

Once you take the drugs away, he'd be a good but not elite fighter. Overrated! He's a Filipino politician. That's all you need to know about his integrity.

of course he is overated by some, who isnt? catchweights, fighters comming off bad performances, stylistic advantages, peds and anything else you want to hang on him just doesnt matter. fact remains that he is making guys that 99% of his own fans thought would beat him 3 years ago, look like they should have taken up other sports instead. what floyd did with corrales, manny is doing with everyone. you can throw every excuse under the sun about why he is able to do it and it still doesnt change the fact that no one can do it like that asian midget. NO ONE.

"So now we have a gym full of great lightweights - we'll just stick with this division for now - to compare with Pacquiao. Take these:

Is he as good or better than: Tony Canzoneri? My opinion - better. Barney Ross? Better. Roberto Duran? As good or even better.

What about Henry Armstrong, who held three titles at the same time? Wasn't he in the same class in throwing punches in multitudes? Didn't Armstrong fight somewhat like Pacquiao?

My answer: No. They are different fighters. While Armstrong would bury his head into his opponent's chest, firing lefts and rights to the body and head, Pacquiao is a thinking, deliberate puncher who rarely misses. I see Pac as the better fighter.

I'm going to wind this up by asking myself this question:

. And he might just be the man who will eventually put boxing back in the upper deck of sports."

, not so much for what he did not so much for what he did in the last couple of years, it’s the earlier part of his career that lasts about two or three years ago. When you keep fighting against the best continually, and that’s what I rank greatness on—performance against the best, not just all of these records and eight or nine championships. To me that doesn’t really mean anything. You got four different organizations, maybe five depending on what you want to respect, and every five pounds is a different weight division. But the fact that he’s fought some of the best, and most of the guys were future Hall of Fame guys themselves. He has performed on a top level and only lost one fight and knocked out that opponent, which was Morales, twice. Just to have this longevity,
