Entertainment Centre, Wollongong, New South Wales, Australia

middleweight Shannan Taylor SC Anthony Mundine 10
super middleweight Zac Awad vs ?
light heavyweight Nader Hamdan vs ?
featherweight Billy Dib SC vs ?
light heavyweight Daniel Baff SC vs ?
    Will Tomlinson vs ?
    Peter Kazzi vs ?

Come on guys..whats wrong with the promoters . They should have found some opposition by now..
Not hard is it guys.. your not after world champions now.. come on....

Surely you could have searched the ends of the world to find some old timer who has put on a set of gloves and claims he has been in a bit of a scuffle in the ring and has his name etched somehow on boxrec...

Really really disapointed with this.you haven't got long to go ... only a couple of months away, so better knuckle down and find somebody! anybody...

    Prerequisite for the opposition

Preferably somebody from the Phillipines, or Thailand.
    MUST have a losing record
Must not have a good chin
Fights part time to feed his hungry family of 15

khoder nasser, i'm counting on you...

At least one side of the card looks good....nice to see some good match ups on the other instead of cab drivers and taco stand vendors

    Mundine shows are different.

He doesn't have anything to do with matchmaking the undercard. If you want to fight on his show, you find your own opponent and pay out of your own pocket.

I'm pretty sure he gives out x amount of tickets for the fighters to sell. So you need to sell tickets to get your money back.

This is 100% correct and it does absolutely nothing for Australian Boxing and Mundine is laughing all the way to the bank because we keep buying.:silly

The problem/danger with doing a show like that is that if their happened to be a serious injury/fatality on the card, who takes responsibility? When the investigation goes in search of the matchmaker they may run in to a few dead ends.

The problem with this is it would probably come back to the Aussie fighter (or management) trying to get ahead in the sport, as Will Tomlinson stated on the last Mundine card after destroying his undermatched Thai opponent, he is a good guy I have got to know him in the last 2 days as he has been staying at my place.
What would someone that wasn't in the fightgame think hearing this?

Funny, I was in the opposing corner for Will's fight last night. lol.

He's got a good kit of punches and he has a style really suited to the pro's. Good future. Back on topic, boxing has never been a pro-active sport. Nothing new here. it's a stone age sport, flawed on so many levels imo.

Are the boxers on the card confirmed? You would think that by now, the fighters would have an opponent lined up. All a bit unclear and yet the fights are only a couple of months away...

Thats because cab dirvers have rotating shifts every 2 weeks so you never know when you are working until the last moment. :yep

Mundine vs Taylor... ok, its not expected to attract 50,000 payed veiwers..

Mundine vs Taylor... with an undercard full of Thai, Philo, cab driving oponents against the listed names doesnt attract anymore viewers.

Perhaps the Mundine camp also stipulate the undercards oposition cant be listed prior to fight night??

Things seem to be tightly controlled from the insect-brained promotions side of things.

Just ask Katsidis mate on the Kessler v mundine card he has to pay for the fight himself so that should give u a good idea who takes the $$$$$ and why the undercards are always crap

The fact the fight is in Wollongong suggest the promoters also hope for a good turnout of Taylor supporters, as the crowd would be limited elsewhere. What a farcical attempt to draw money and a crowd.. **** it, The Man is a great athlete.... now in retrospect.. Stuff it, I hope Taylor belts him, and throws the Khoder (MUSLIM ****, cut his throat and **** his kids) Nasser off the top balcony.
The sooner the trash promotions are terminated, the better.
Someone get Johnny Lewis to manage/train Mundine... too late for that also.
