Why is it so hard to get Haye to sign !!??

I need proof of the 3/4 negotiations. As I was aware he was looking at viable opponents for his mainstream HW debut and settled on Barret.

I don't think that the WBA will enforce Chagaev, regardless if it goes to purse bids I doubt Universal can compete, moot point. Personally I hoped for Povetkin.

I think Hayes HW career has been poor, but Valuev and Ruiz came together as a package. Unlike most I can see why Haye has chosen the path he has even if I disagree with it.

What fights outside of K2 could Haye not sign for?

 

Sky gave Haye a finger, Wlad gave Haye a finger. Nobody gives a sh*t about Haye anymore. He is retiring in a few months and because of that WBA will have no problems stripping him if he does not fight mandatory. This is how much leverage Haye has right now.

 

Ultimately, it may just come down to Haye being a ****.

 

Haye has a mandatory to get out the way, what makes you think the WBA will strip him? As far as I know there's no issues currently with the WBA allowing Haye to look for an alternative to Chagaev. If they have issues they haven't made their feelings known.

When it comes to leverage mandatorys don't count since %'s and basic rules are already laid out.

 

So Haye rejected Johnson? Yeah ok. Haye didn't want to pay him **** and it was too much risk for him.

Yeah he settled on Barrett, because all the "other top 10" heavies he promised to debut against.....J.D Chapman, Kevin Johnson, Hasim Rahman, Oleg Maskaev and Eddie Chambers all said he only offered $150-300K for the fight. Pretty small change coming from the unified cruiserweight champion with such drawing power

Of course you hoped for Povetkin, the guy has faced only tomato cans for the last 2 years and has been psychologically destroyed by Atlas. And why should David have to face his mandatory challenger, yeah its better he get to choose his mandatory....after a standard 7 month rest between fights.:rofl

 

Johnson thought the fight was good to go, was happy with negotiations, never recieved a phone call, therefore Haye chose another avenue for negotiation = Haye rejected Johnson. A 4 year old can figure that much out. Fail number one:roll:

So his opponent selection hasn't been great that much is true but he's looked good against the guys he's fought.
