Why is it that Hatton is finished but Cotto isn't?

Its a good point really, I don't think these "Cotto Is Better" comments make sense, It don't matter if he is better or worse, time catches up with any boxer, regardless of skill. Having said that, Cotto is better lol, But I don't think thats the reason for this. I think its because most people agree Hatton appears to have lost his punch resistance and this constant ballooning up in weight has caught up with him. I personally think he should retire. Yeah he did beat up Paulie but he was made for Hatton, If you don't have enough power to keep Hatton off you then I don't think you can beat him. Regardless, watching Cotto against Manny wasn't a very nice fight to watch to be honest, so I don't think I'd want to see Cotto fight again either.

Cotto is simply a better fighter. Also Hatton puts too much weight between fights!

:huh Dude, that picture can't be real! Hatton was using red Reyes gloves with blue trim on the inside with his fight with Pac. Photoshop dude gots to pay attention to detail! And that is NOT Kenny Bayless' hands.

Cotto is a hit and move fighter.

Hatton is a hit and get hit fighter - that stragedy doesnt look to good for future fights when you got knocked out cold on the canvas in your last fight for 10 minutes.

Cotto is starting from a higher point, he can lose some off his game and still kick ass on everyone but the elites. Hatton loses some, he's gonna be getting KTFO by journeymen.

You're right! Dunno why someone would photoshop this, it's not like the actual KO wasn't gruesome enough. I was scared for Hatton, he looked like he was staring at God down there for a minute.

I REALLY don't want to see RJJ fight again. He's going to end up dying in the ring.

Cotto has the ability to fall back on some boxing skills when his chin starts to let him down. All hatton can do is keep on walking into shots

Not that I have an opinion either way, but it's been scientifically proven that a quick one punch knock out is less damaging to the brain than a long sustained beating.

Cotto was competitive with Pacquiao for half the fight, and gave Pacquiao a good beating in return....Hatton was simply annihilated. Cotto has consistently fought the best competition and has wins over other P4P fighters (Mosely). Plus, Cotto finished his fight against Pacquiao on his feet...Hatton on his back. I think both guys still have something left in the tank. Hatton can still be competitive at 140 and Cotto still can beat a lot of guys at 147-154. I'd like to see Cotto get a tune up fight and than let him and Berto fight in the summer for his title....but I do think Cotto needs to find a real trainer.

Hatton would beat Cotto now imo.

    Cotto is finished.

Hatton got caught by a punch far harder than what Cotto did.

Cotto would have gone to sleep just like Hatton did if he was caught by that monster shot in the 4th round.

Instead he got another terrible beating worse than any Hatton has recieved.

Those two beatings will ruin Cotto imo.
