Why is it that Hatton is finished but Cotto isn't?

Hatton can't get by someone like Lazcano without assistance from the referee. How the **** is he gonna beat Cotto?

FOr all we know Cotto might be finished.........let's see what he has left in his next couple of fights.

Pac, Margarito, Clottey and Mosely might have taken too much out of him.

I hope he still has something left but the jury is still out!

Cotto actually is winning rounds and his last two fights dealt with obstacles inside and outside the ring. A cut in Clottey's fight still fought smart, questionable if Margarito was loaded, and fighting at 145 and serious family issues could perhaps been Cotto's biggest opponent. If Cotto loses his next one, then it's time to hang the gloves. Hatton in the other hand has been KO very badly and even by Mayweather in a very devastating way.

Hatton was miles ahead and still would have won that fight

Cotto lost to clottey but wont the decision

Cotto was lucky to beat mosley, if mosley got his strategy right from the start, it would have been an easy win for him

many other fights Cotto hasnt looked good

    very overrated boxer

I hope Cotto and Hatton meet at 145, Hatton may be 3/4 of the boxer he used to be but by god he will knock the **** out of that over rated punching bag called cotto

well cotto came much closer to losing at 140 than hatton ever did (torres etc), even in poor performances hattons allways won easily. he beat malignaggi better than cotto did, with paulie winning rounds of cotto, they were both embaressed by pac, but cottos performance although beaten easily was better than hattons. hatton has been beaten only twice by current p4p #1 fighters, cotto would undoubtedly have 3 losses on his record if he had fought pbf.

i really don't think there's a lot between hatton and cotto, just that cotto is the bigger man, at 140 i always fancied hatton to beat him in a close fight. but i would agree that cotto has more left him in than hatton does now, although not much.

Hatton took less beatings cause he couldnt stay competative, he got KO'd in 2 by Pac. If Hatton fought Margo...I dont see Hatton lasting as long as Cotto did.

did you see that fight? do you honestly think lazcano would have won that fight if hatton didn't tie his laces? lol, maybe if he tripped over his laces and hit his head on the ring post again.

but that's because hattons a natural jww and cotto is a natural ww. if margo was a jww and therefore physically a bit smaller, hatton would have beaten him in his prime, he would have broken him down just like mosely did.

yeah... Cotto had close fights and debateable decisions with Mosley and Clotty. Problem is, both Mosely and Clottey would destroy Hatton, either p4p or in reality.

He would have stopped Hatton if the ref hadn't stopped the fight so Ricky could tie his shoelaces, coincidentally at the moment when Ricky was getting ready to hit the canvas.

Here's the deal with Hatton: without the reffing he got in the UK, he would have been beaten by a Lazcano level fighter loooong before he got his title. You guys thinking he could hang with Cotto? Not a chance. Torres or Kendall Holt would probably have KTFO Ricky.

hatton would have beaten someone like clottley p4p or at 140 in his prime, more clearly than cotto did. i don't think he would have beat mosely but i doin't think cotto would have beat koysta.
