Why is it that "SONS" of Famous Elite-Level "Back in the Day" Fighters...

    He said sons. Marvis was good though but not like his dad, Laila isn't/wasn't as good as her dad too.

    Fighters where both Father and Son won titles
    Leon and Cory Spinks
    Guty and Guty Jr Espada
    Floyd and Tracy Patterson(adopted)
    Im probably missing a few but those are the first to come to mind.

    in a way Leon and Cory Spinks are very even, even though Leon beat Ali, no one figures he beat the real prime Ali. Floyd and Tracy, Floyd was greater. It is rare that you have a level of a Hearns or Chavez and the sons reach that level. That is such a high level that most fighters do not reach that level. so how would their son do it.

    Well most didn't have to go through the same struggle so the commitment, dedication wasn't at their parents level.

    How many great fighters end up broke though? Plenty of their sons would have grown up poor or far from rich. Plenty of them have families at home with their wife and other kids elsewhere.

    i never understand when people mention floyd, i mean his dad wasn't great :huh

    many, if not most great fighters have a lot of fighters in their family including their dad, uncles or grandpas......floyds story aint any different
