Who besides Tyson sold PPVs fighting tomato cans? Last time I checked, the people in the Philippines and Mexico don't account for American PPV, so why would that matter?

Nice try but NOT. Cotto is a higher profile fighter then JMM. But when you compare what the fighters did vs the same fighters its not even close. What Im saying is Cotto vs May would STILL do better then Cotto vs Pac did.

Both fighters are draws Floyd is just a bigger one.

Mayweather is very intresting when it comes to PPV and ticket sales.
Pacquiao/Clottey would probbly do better than Mayweather/Clottey. However put Mayweather with Pacquiao and Mosley and the numbers are going to be near or greater than record numbers. Mayweather/De La Hoya made more money than any other PPV event in boxing history. Before you say that was all De La Hoya consider that that fight did better than either of his fights with Chavez or his fight with Trinidad both much more popular than Mayweather.

Mayweather is clearly the bigger draw, even if he isn't the most popular.

Also the reason Mayweather vs Mosley is a bigger draw than Pac vs Mosley is the history between the two.
