    Firstly, Toney loves to fight.
Secondly, he still got something left, he proved that on Wednesday, and that is still enough be competitive with most of the top-ten fighters in nowadays weak HW-divison - it might even be enough to win a belt, that's just not impossible.
Thirdly, his stay at HW has been mostly disappointing and frustrating so far, and being an ATG like he is he knows he can't just stop his career like that.

And it's good for us fans, because Toneys fights are interesting and exciting if you have got a good eye for the subtleties of defense and counterpunching. But if you just want a raw power puncher going for the knockout, I understand watching someone like Samuel Peter is more exciting...

He thinks he's the best heavyweight in the world. Yes, he's delusional.

 Dude......give up watching this sport b/c you dont know what you are talking about. James is one of the most exciting boxers even today. Round 3 alone on Wed vs Rock was pure boxing at its best! Unfortunately ***** ass Rock Quit and JT was just getting warmed up, but he still fights be he obviously believes that the division is still up for grabs and he is still a viable threat to any title holders. his skill are still In tact.

    Right.

I think these guys have a hard time letting go of the money and ego stroking that being a world class fighter brings them.

And I can understand that. The excitement and glory of it all, as you make your way to the ring and the crowd roars...........that feeling would be very hard to just let go, if you felt you still had something to offer and were still in good health.

And apparently Toney does still have a bit left in the tank, so let him continue to get his ego stroked and to continue to make whatever money he can.

Fight on, Toney, if that's what you want to do........ :good

That why he is fighting in Fox, because he is not a atraction anymore he is nothing, in a few moths you will se him fight eight rounders in ESPN and get starched likje the others old fighters that had fought on ESPN, and then he will become a journeyman punch drunk that will be fighting fighters with a record of 4-0 in Telefutura, and lose those fight to.

He fought on ESPN back 8-10 years ago all the time. It's not like he looked that bad against Rahman, he's a long way from being cannon fodder for up-and-comers.
