Because he's had so many title defenses and there is NO questioning his ability. A win over Kessler puts him in the top 5

The Phillipines was an American colony until 1935. The country still has a strong American influence

So your saying that this has an influence over the american boxing media???

    :huh

That makes less sense than some of the things China has said.

It is really anti-European as European fighters have European promoters.

If you are an asian being promoted by Americans you are fine. Mexicans get so much respect for the same reason. If American promoters are making money off you, they pull strings in the media to enchance your reputation.

If you are promoted by a Brit and are a threat to American protomers' fighters and earning, they will have your reputation supressed.

i honestly think paul is kind of too high maybe should be below JC which is true, was just trying to full up the list couldnt think of much lol his win against Antonio Margarito sands up really big also Walter Dario Matthysse, but now i think of it, it was misplacement

Calzaghe should be top 3 P4P because he is the longest current reigning world champion in any division. He has made 20+ WBO world title defences. The WBO history at 168 is pretty good. Hearns - Eubank-Collins-Calzaghe since 1988. It's the most stable title in boxing, held by less fighters over a certain time period. He's rated number 1 by the ring magazine. He put on one of the best performances of boxing ever, over a dangerous, highly touted and favourite IBF champion. He never gave up the WBO belt and faced his mandatory challengers when asked.

Why the others should not be P4P..............maybe

Mayweather, fights for WBC titles and the money, vacates against mandatories and hardly beat the best fighters in each of the 5 weight divisions he won a title in. However, five belts is five belts and he's undefeated at different weights. He deserves to be top, in my opinion.

Hopkins lost to Roy Jones and other people early in his career. He also lost to Taylor, he should not be ranked so highly.

WK is best in a crap 200+ division, has been starched a few times.

Cotto, two alphabet titles from no name opponents, undefeated but maybe 10 or 9 rated. Has not faced anywhere near the best at either 140 or 147.

Taylor has beat some people in the P4P who should not be there. He will be removed from the list by Pavliks' right hand quite soon.

Wright is a great boxer, but has lost so many times. Should have stayed at 154 or 160. Could win a title. He's better than Taylor.

I'm not commenting on the others.

    :thumbsup

**** China....I'll back you up on that one. As a matter of fact I have Joe in the top ten simply because of his tenure as the champ. It has nothing to do with his level of oppostion as every other top ten fighter has probably fought better comp then Joe has. Beating Kess won't really move him to far up as Kess is also truly untested. This has nothing to do with Euro vs America....the truth lies within the records boys.
