They were talking about Pacquiao facing speed before, and he said Barrera "was on the downside" when Pac fought him. While for the rematch that was certainly true, Barrera was in or pretty close to his prime for the first fight.
lol, yes I remember that, He was talking like Cotto is now going to woop his ass. Even at the end of the round, he goes it will be interesting to see how the judges scored it (or something like that)
Yes, yes. :yep You guys noticed it too. He was like, that was a fluke knockdown, now Cotto's going to beat up Pac the remainder of the round. 9-9 round? He should have said maybe he can rally to make it a 10-9 round, which Cotto did, on 2 of the 3 judges scorecards.
hes not a hater, i just think he probably likes oscar and cotto a lot.... even pro's will have their favorites, and i dont think he called the fight too horribly bad although ya he was a bit on cottos side. Personally his passion is refreshing when watching for the most part (yes i know it can get fustrating, i personally prefer it over the more stale stuff out there) If you had Jim, RJJ, Tarver, and Merchent... ****in allstar team of announcers imo...
You must be mistaken.........I scored the 3rd round 10-10 because even with a Pacquiao knockdown, Cotto took the round rather clearly. .....but I cant see that with a knockdown that the judges would score it 10-9 for Cotto. Its a 10-9 round for Cotto, but with the knockdown it makes it 10-10, based on the 10 point must system of scoring.
You simply do not know how to score a fight. When a fighter wins a round, you win by one point unless he was so dominating like in round 9 wherein you can not be faulted for scoring it a 2 point difference or a 10-8 round. Once you have a KD, automatically, you lose two pints or a 10-8 round. However, because you said and believe that Cotto convincingly won the round, then it becomes a 10-9 round in favor of Pac, not a 10-10 round.
You are worse that lampley. Cotto wasn't dominating the round, he was slightly ahead but then judges have different perspectives..
Jim lampley is a deceptive liar and is one of many example of people who have mastered the "half-truth" they twist their words when they speak and put things into a perspective where they discredit the one they want to discredit, without most people realising, infact most people would think he is praising the one he is discrediting. This does two things 1 - the criticism goes into your mind subliminally if you arent aware of it 2 - robs the person who should be getting his credit of that real credit he deserves.
I watched the 3rd round two times based on what you said. I'm not sure where did you get an IDEA that the round should be 10-10. I really don't! Yes, Cotto had some great shot but PAC had great shots too! You take KD so lightly. Does it have to do with JMM that kissing the canvass is a tradtion so you don't get really excited by it?! So when you see somebody going down that's nothing at all!:hey
:shock:wtf?!? 10-10 for a rd with a kd? :nut As a boxing enthusiast, sorry bro, but you've just demoted yourself there.
I didn't detect it, really. Either way, if both he AND Merchant were crazy about Pacquiao, the broadcasts would be unbearable.
