Why is Joe Cortez still refereeing big fights, when he seems to be so controversial

    Im seeing people blaming him for ruining fights all the time such as.
    Hatton v Mayweather
    Joe got involoved too much

    Khan v Maidana
    Joe saved khan from getting ktfo

    Ortiz v Mayweather
    etc etc

    How many promoters and fighters do you see complaining? You keep forgetting that ESB means squat outside of ESB.

    Joe Cortez is one of the few people that i would actually try and punch if i saw him on the street. ****** is ruining some of our biggest fights

    Because he is corrupt, he does what they want him to do therefore he gets big fights.

    Plus he let Hopkins hold and spoil all night long vs Calzaghe.

    And when Ortiz received his sucker punches, Cortez was on another planet with his hangdog gormless mouth wide open

    It's crazy. I can accept referees making the occasional mistake, but Cortez has gone way beyond that. He looked like a senile old man in Mayweather-Ortiz. Plus he's a total drama queen. I don't believe he's corrupt, just an incompetent elderly attention *****.
