Why is Joe Joyce getting rated so highly?

I agree that he's in the top 10, but I'm seeing people actually rate him above AJ and Wilder! But why is that? His resume is good but not great, his best wins are over a fat Joseph Parker and Daniel Dubois. If you're someone who rates Joe Joyce highly, why?

Olympic finalist, undefeated as a pro, takes tough fights, entertaining to watch, still on an upwards trajectory.

I happen to agree that he's getting overrated now, after being underrated (many picked Parker and a majority picked Dubois against him).

However, the reason is clear: he did beat Parker far more convincingly than anyone else. It's often noted that Parker struggles to beat any decent HW convincingly, but it's equally true that no one until Joyce won all that convincingly against him.

Joshua ran and hugged, landed very little, and definitely lost some rounds, very few people would disagree the scorecards were a bit wide.
Whyte only won via an incorrect headbutt knockdown call and was about 10 seconds from getting KO'ed when the final bell rang.

He was also a top amateur and is fun to watch.

This is what happens on ESB. A fighter is underrated and then overrated. I was shocked so many people backed Dubois to beat Joyce on here and made Dubois the favourite when Dubois is very average. Joyce is very good though but I don’t think he beats any of the “top 4”.

I agree Joyce is being well-matched but his resume is actually fairly solid. I know people can, and will, pick apart Parker and Dubois, and of course the Takams and Ustinovs of the world, but eh. He looked good beating these guys. As others have said, it's not the fact he beat Parker, it's the fact he wiped Parker out

He's not invincible. I personally think AJ is his worst matchup. I know a lot of people would pretend Joyce would crush AJ's fragile heart and blah blah blah, AJ is a bum, blah blah blah, but in reality AJ is built for demolishing big, slow guys and would crack Joe until he toppled

AJ and Wilder have looked poor in the last two years and AJ v Parker was boring.

AJ wouldn`t be able to deal with Joyce`s constant jab and combos to the body, Joyce`s work-rate is insane for a heavyweight.

AJ is not an elite heavyweight and Wilder is a mess in the ring, a powerpuncher on roller skates.

I don't agree mate. I think AJ does to Joyce what he did to Pulev

AJ isn't going to sit there and let Joyce pummel him. Joyce was getting whacked by Takam and Hammer, and AJ's power is second to Wilder's

Again, I know, it's fashionable to bash AJ, and that's cool, but styles make fights and I think AJ does a demolition job on Joyce, while Joyce could actually threaten Fury and Usyk

Joyce is a big unit, very fit, high output, best chin in the world and breaks hearts.

Only the genuine elite will beat him.

He's the best of the lot not named Tyson Fury and Usyk.

I'd like to see Wilder against him. If anyone has a chance of cracking that chin, its Wilder.

He beat some fringe guys, a undefeated prospect (Dubois) and a top ten guy in Parker. Besides Fury, Usyk, and Joshua (who is coming off two losses) not many in the top ten can claim better recently.

Who in the top 10 beats him?

    Fury and Usyk sure.

Wilder? Not sure. Joshua? I'd back Joyce.

The juggernaut dismantles everyone else in the division. So he's at worst 5th and at best 3rd.
