Now now. He ko'd an old atg who rolled back the years. Yes all fighters have deluded fan boys but most sensible people seen it as 50/50. AJ vs Wilder isnt the same. More 70/30 AJ if we are buying in to the Wilder "power" Wilder has 39 fights and 9 years I'm not holding my breath.
How do we know he rolled back the years? Couldn't it be that AJ was just really average and made Wlad look great for a large portion of the match? I saw it as 50/50 as well. Because I'm a sensible poster, unlike most of the AJ fanboys, and I see AJ/Wilder as 60/40 AJ, whoever lands the first shot can win this, that is the reality.
Robinson Castellanos has lost 7 times, 4 of them by KO, well he just beat Gamboa by making him quit and beat Corrales and got shafted on the cards, he's 35 and been a pro for 15 years, and just had his best year.
Because we watched fight and acknowledged that both guys put in great performances. Both emerged with enhanced reputations.
I see it 60/40 AJ too, If wilder manages to connect on AJ's chin it will probably be lights out for him but you would think when Wilder is winding up with those wide swings he's going to popped with straight 1-2's all night.
Wilder only windmills when he has guys hurt, he can fight a disciplined fight, that should be apparent from the Stiverne and Duhaupas fights, he'll play it safe with AJ, and AJ will be playing it safe with him.
I think Matchroom are trying to make the Whyte V Wilder fight first because Whyte V AJ if they both have a title is going to be a massive fight, bigger than Wilder V AJ IMO. But if Wilder KO's Whyte infront of a UK audience then his fight with AJ would be even bigger.
Or you could see it another way, they both got dropped or hurt multiple times and went life and death with one another, because AJ has a terrible chin and a **** gastank, who had a shot old man beating his ass, Wlad miscalculated and let him off the hook, thought he was almost done, AJ clearly losing the last 4 rounds, had to bail himself out, so he gave it one last go, and his power bailed him out of a probable SD loss. Could you imagine the backlash Kovalev would have gotten if his match against BHop looked like that?
20 matches with 1 great win, I have a feeling if Wilder had been the guy that beat Takam, the win wouldn't count for **** with a lot of fans, so I'm hesitant to call that a great win for AJ. After all many posters were b****ing about Takam as an AJ opponent. Wow, he has a better resume???? Really?? So did Canelo......
