Why is Juan Manuel Marquez rated so highly??

Totally different set of circumstances. And if you read my previous post you'd see I said he's rated highly because of his great style. That being said I don't think his resume is trash either, I think it's good not great. Adding four competitive fights against one of the best guys of the last decade is a big deal. In particular because at that time PAC was dominating everyone and then got run over by Marquez.

again....you leave 5 fights off the resume simply because they are losses

the floyd fight was a whitewash....but there is pac 4x.....only 1 official win...but others see those fights as draws at worst....or razor close losses which he acquitted himself quite well......those are the top 2 guys of this generation.....so even as losses there are some good performances against top fighters.....

After losing to Bradley, Juan insisted he was robbed, and that he has been robbed 6 times in his career. In other words, except for his loss to Floyd, Juan is an undefeated fighter.

 

Please name active fighters with better resume and such a level of excellence for the past 15 years.

overrated i agree. take pac out and his resume aint that good.

 

Barrera was unbeaten in 4 years and has had 5 title defences before Marquez beaten him. Diaz was an undisputed lightweight champion only 2 fights prior. Using your logic you can dismiss the resume of absolutely any fighter that you want, apart from maybe 4-5 fighters in history.

*******s just twist things the way they want to. You can also try & discredit Pac by saying some of his fights were against past & drained fighters at catchweights. JMM while chasing pac came up in weight & fought champs coming up in weight, its not his fault Juan diaz happend to be champ at the time. Casa was also higly rated, its funny they say barrera was old but pac fought Barrera again after JMM they leave that part out I guess Pac was cherry picking. Fought floyd, Pac, Bradley all while they were champs. JMM is rated accordingly, behind pac & floyd. No one is claiming he is ATG. But he is one of the best of our Era.

*******s just dont like when pac has competition. Hell remember when bradley got the nod against pac? *******s almost sent bradley into retierment & sent him death threats. Kind of things *******s do.
