Why is Kabayel so inactive ?

He's been avoided and has been poorly promoted and managed.

You would think Turki would do more for his Muslim brother.

 

Parker and Wardley are both risking their mandatory positions against each other.
I like Kabayel, a lot, but imo he needs to get more active.
Even if Usyk - Parker (next mando rotation) is made for 2026, Kabayel won't see his turn for a long time after. Just the way it is.

 

It’s not Kabayel’s fault there is a hold up in Title shots however he will need to stay busy with a fight unless belts are either stripped from Usyk or he retires which I doubt will happen with the money involved. Kabayel and his Team may choose to sit it out for a while to see how things fall into place and then decide what they are doing. We all know what happened to Joyce when he was sitting as WBO Interim Champion and decided to fight Zhang as a stay busy fight !

 

I do not buy nobody wants to fight him. He is sitting on a shot. It is a mistake, he would keep improving by fighting quality opponents.

 

Okolie has apparently put his hand up, but it looks like Kabayel and team aren't keen.

He is of course housekeeping with his shots and not very keen to fight a non event fight . If the madness continues he should nevertheless fight , not wait too long .

Maybe he is holding back to embarass usyk should wbc do really a favour for boxing and immediately call for negotiations wbc title defence usyk-kabayel ?

He has then had 1 marquee win a year.

Seems to me he's been well maneuvered into a title shot where he has the leverage.

We saw what happened with Joyce.

Agreed it's not his fault in the slightest.
And yeah there's always risk stepping into the ring, I just don't think inactivity is good for fighters, especially those with momentum.

 

Yep he needs to get more active. Parker is risking his title shot but he is getting good consistent pay days and staying active. Kabayel could be waiting 12 months or more for a title shot he should be trying to make a fight with another good contender. There are plenty of fights to make these guys all can't just wait for Usyk.

 

Kabayel is 100% fluent in english, no need for German interviews.

I feel like it's been bad promotion for Kabayel. He's one of those guys who is so fun to watch, how can you not promote that? He's the opposite of the "Tom and Jerry" fighter.

 

Will be a while before Okolie is ready for a fight, as he just had surgery to reattach his bicep. And I’m sure he will want a soft touch when he comes back to see how the bicep holds up and shake off the rust. That’s the way things are done these days I guess.
