why is kelly pavlik dis-liked so much

I'm a big fan of Pavlik's style, some people though don't realize that he is rather one dimensional though. He reminds me of foreman of the Middleweight division. He bangs hard and it is pure suicide for any fighter to come at him due to his chin and power, but if you you give him angles and move laterally, he can be outclassed. There are alot of simularities if you think of it. Frazier didn't know anything other then coming foward and that is why George killed him. But fighters like Young, Ali, and Morrison moved alot and George couldn't deal with it. Well hopkin made Pavlik look bad, oh well. I still think he's fun to watch, because if anyone steps into the ring with him and doens't respect his power, they will get KTFO and its fun to watch. P.S. Kelly should avoid Ward for sure.

 

Boo had predicted that Kelly would clock JC coming in with his head down. RJJ later did EXACTLY that. Roy was a little late pulling the trigger otherwise it might have ended the fight. Had Kelly caught him clean it probably wouldn't have stunned JC instead of putting him down because he throws shorter controlled punches and we know what happens when Kelly stuns you.

 

Because he lacks hair.

 

Probably because so many idiots on here hyped him up then were left looking silly when Hopkins beat him with ease.

No one who beats Taylor 2x and stops Miranda gets disrespected by me. The only thing i dont like about him is that he tried to go all out his way to fight Williams but stood him up like than an unfaithful guy telling his wife he won't cheat. I understand the injury but don't promise to do something you can't do.

 

A lot of hate towards Pavlik seems to come from people that have a problem with his skin colour. A lot of hate for fighters in general comes as a result of their skin colour.

 

It's his fans that people hate so much, they would argue black is White just to prove
KP is king of the boxing world and unbeatable

I'm obviously a Pavlik supporter. The first part of what he said is correct. Watch the fight and you will see him try and blow his nose and there is literally something like a foot of snot hanging. But if you pay attention, most of us, his serious supporters, say that probably wouldn't have changed the outcome of the fight given the Bhop that showed up that night.

After the fight Kelly said he got schooled. His words. Later, obviously hurting from his first loss, he tried to give an indication of his physical condition without trying to take away from Bhop and did a clumsy job of it. That gets blown out of proportion here, but it really isn't that hard to understand.

Why can't Pavlik supporters man up and admit that Hopkins is just a bettter figher? Stuff like "Kelly wasn't at 100" doesn't take away that he was schooled that night.

Pavlik gets a lot of stick for his poor middleweight title defenses but lets be real he fought taylor and Hopkins above the weight as they wanted that he should be commended for that !!!!

Since the loss to Hop people are writing him off the same people will be talking about the monster puncher after a few fights kids young strong and a learner IMO
