why is kelly pavlik dis-liked so much

There is a story for everyone that gets arrested. Kelly is no differnet. As far as charges being dropped might not have been worth it to pursue and the fact he is the only thing that **** town has going for it.

 

You would think that his altercations would be more reason for casual fans to get behind him...most people in America want their fighters to be illiterate thugs.

As for people on this forum who dislike Kelly Pavlik, I don't understand it...he's had a run of bad luck out of the ring...what popular fighters in American history haven't?

He is still a work in progress and only has one loss. Give him a break!!

 

The charges weren't dropped, Pavlik pleaded 'no contest.' I didn't follow the story closely, but assumed the sentence would be up to six months of probation or just plain commuted. It's not all that hard to land an assaulting an officer charge; it's the modern version of vagrancy. At most, it's to keep the guy within arm's reach, while checking warrants or whatever.

...of course, your mileage may vary.

 

Pavlik did have a scuffle with a cop a few years ago. I don't care about that. In the life I grew up in if a cop laid hands on ya, and you didn't get charged with resisting arrest, we called ya a punk and a *****.

 

Skin head is the most ridiculous one of all. Pavlik has a Jewish promoter, a Mexican cut man, and literally grew up in a sport dominated by people of color, but ya, I guess he's a secret skin headatsch

 

anybody who says KP is hated because of race is an idiot. For the most part it's his idiotic fans who claim fighters would run from him.
Everybody with a clue knows that KP was in no hurry to fight AA and rather tried to secure fights with SMWs in their late 30s and 40s.
Calzaghe did not duck him he just went for the money and there was clearly more money in a JC-RJJ clash than a fight with KP (as the KP-BHOP PPV-numbers showed.
It's his ridiculous fans in particular booradley, who try to hate on AA and other KP competitors and try to discredit everything they might do. And their agenda is so transparent. I remember how booradley said before the super 6 that Sauerland tries to 'cash out' on AA and now since AA is one of the favorites he tries to claim that the Super 6 is a group of bums and wins against McKart and Zertuche means more than winning this tournament. People on here are not stupid, they see through this **** and turn the tables on the Pavlik fans, highlightning what a flawed, limited fighter he is...

Actually, people are pretty sure he made less fighting RJJ since he was self promoted. That PPV did not do that well and he would have been guaranteed $10 mill for fighting Pavlik.

As for AA, timing and money never lined up and the last year at MW AA was pretty sad because of being weight drained. In spite of what his supporters say Luajan Simon has not risen to stardom yet based on his beast like boxing abilities.

I actually liked Pavlik. The only thing I really hate(d) was his talk about the super 6. Sounded like a child not voted for the footballteam.

 

I don't dislike him but think he's very over-rated.

 

no u never was but its good to see u rooting for him.. i think why pavlik fans are always talking about him is because i f u remember pavlik always got **** on , no matter what he did , alot of asses knocked him down..even now with all of his medical problems this year there are some sick people who say realy bad ****..so i am sorry to say they are so very fickle and thats a shame. but as soon as kelly beats williams these people will either go away or jump on the band wagon and that makes me sick..
