To be fair to Amir when the camera is on him outside of boxing circles he comes across has a grounded kid, eg there was a TV show he did a while back helping teenagers who were involved in crime to live a better life or something along those lines, in that he came across fantastic. I'm a big fan of Amir in general, but he needs to STOP with the deluded comments about being up there Pacquiao, wanting to fight Hatton, etc etc [which if we're being honest, make him look like a spoilt little **** with his head up his own arse]. I didn't neccessarily want to see him lose a fight but he is totally undeserving of PPV status and if a loss moves him from Sky Box Office to Sky Sports 1 then all will be fine as far as my support of him goes.
Hype job and undeserving of the press and tv coverage/deals he's been handed on a plate. The guy's beaten nobody as a pro and expects to headline a ppv or demand headline ppv? Cheeky tosser got his just desserts. I personally also hate the way he talks.
Other I opted for. I just dont like the fact all the girls fancy the handsome young lad espcially Sarah I want Sarah to fancy me instead but she wont touch me with a 100 foot barge pole because I'm not as good as Amir. I'm jealous Lifes not fair
Read my posts on the thread "Is Amir Khan losing the plot" you will find it on my brothers FAT JOES threads there I explain how Khan is so conceited and how all the girls of Bolton - and specifcally a girl called Sarah - fancy him - and want to go out with him more than the other boys of Bolton.
I think Khan needed the Prescott loss in order for him to wake up and understand he needs to improve alot before he can win a world title. Flaws in his defence and a weak chin will not let this happen, he can fix the defence but maybe can not change the fact he has a weak chin, but I feel his chin can improve as he is weight drained at lightweight and needs to move up, but only time can tell if this has an effect. Surely being lightweight for 5 growing years is wrong, and being weight drained does have an effect on the chin. Done this in a rush clocking off from work, YES thank **** for that . Khan is going to TKO in the 6th. C u guys later
I'm not to bothered about him either way really. Although the cocky, title and beating this one and that one chit chat is annoying.
I Don't hate Khan but i do think he talks too much ****, He should keep his mouth shut until he's done something in the sport. Maybe then we could live with the trash talking and maybe then he could get away with statements like "I'm gonna give Barrera a boxing lesson". Normally i wouldn't have a problem with trash talker's, in fact i find it can add to the drama of a big fight, But the like's of Vic Darchinyan, Ricardo Mayorga or Bernard Hopkins have all earned the right to engage in this practice, where Amir is just a kid with a big mouth who was spoon fed opponents and is coming off a shocking first round destruction at the hands of a complete unknown! I posted this before on another thread but it still crack's me up. This content is protected
I'm not arsed either way but I don't think he's really this arrogant monster some people portray him as I think he's just a bit thick, listens to all the BS around him and doesn't think before he speaks. I think a lot of the hate comes fom him being billed as British Boxings "next big thing", having things too easy from the start and, of course being a Frank Warren fighter. Everything else, like the perceived arrogance, is just "bolted on" because people are then looking out of things to hate about him. There are a lot of sensitive souls on internet boxing forums apparently......;O)
still the hypejob factor for me. however, i do believe that a lot of boxing fans are willing khan to fail as this is what they intially predicted. even if khan put together a string of victories against respectable opponents there would still be those who would not support him and want to see him ktfo against anyone
I don't hate him personally but the thing that gets me is the ridiculous amount of hype surrounding him. All because he got a silver medal at the Olympics. I don't blame him for being convinced he's that good when everyone around him is constantly telling him and the public that he is.
