And you've just hit the nail on the head to why people dislike him. They don't hate him personally, they hate 'Khan the brand' the hype and the fact he's gotten a title shot for essentially no good reason.

Come off it! Khan's chin gets rocked by the wind. That's why he moved to a sunnier climate.

One thing people consistently overlook when it comes to Khan is his heart. I remember seeing him get knocked down by Limond, only to come back with guns blazing to put Limond down in the very next round and then relentlessly hammer him across the ring until getting the stoppage. I remember the match with Gomez being a highly entertaining war, in which he had to dig deep, and he came through with sheer grit. Even after Prescott hit him with truly sickening punches, Khan fought to get to his feet -- by all rights he shouldn't even have been able to stand after the first knockdown, but he did.

I respect guts like that. Khan may have a terrible chin, but I think he embodies one of the most important parts of boxing in his attitude to the craft -- he has that critical determination in the face of adversity, something that cannot really be learned. (Sorry, Judah.)

if seen one or two of his fights and he's fast , strong and can bang abit. he's an exciting boxer to be fair. Thats where i dont get the hate. I'd undertand if he's defensive or featherfisted and boring and gutless but he dont seem to have these traits. Surely it cant just be his chin. As for the hype machine, like i said calzaghe and hatton began as hype too.

Very true, after the Audley **** ppl stopped believing the hype and the talk.
He told everyone he'd be World Champ within 4 years, BBC paid a fortune of taxpayers money on him for 10 fights.
He fought bums which is fair enough after turning pro but he couldn't step up against UK fighters let alone world class ones.
Also BBC got cold feet on boxing after paying for first Lewis vs Rahman fight, they never renewed Audleys contract.

So the british public the alot more sceptical at Olympic medalist claiming to be next world champions.

Didn't he start to get hated only after the Prescott fight?

I don't like him because he won a silver mdeal in the Olympics and his ego rocketed up. He had a poor defence and an even worse chin, and thought he was Mohammed Ali, although I must say he does look to have improved his defence under Roach and I think with his blistering speed and power which he has always had in abundance, combined with a new tighter defence. He could become a top 5 p4p fighter. All thanks to Freddie Roach.

No, we were all expecting him to get knocked out because of his defence and chin.
But he has improved and has the potential to be a brilliant fighter, especialy under Freddie Roach.

What's this you sack of ****? I like Khan alright. Certainly don't hate him. I'm hoping Haye starches Wladimir. I like a lot of fighters. Don't go around spouting this non-sense!!!!

People don't like him because he is a cocky sob.
