Why is Kovalev-Ward considered a robbery when fights like Pac-JMM 2&3 and Hopkins-Calzaghe aren't?

Because the majority doesn't like Ward's fighting style, they like Kovalev's and didn't want to see him lose.

 

All down to scoring isn't it. If you scored it clear for Kovalev then you'll consider it a robbery. I scored it for Kova but was no way a robbery imo. I think the fact it was a huge fight makes people a little hyperbolic about it too.

You add the pac-jmm fights but you didn't mention Floyd-Castillo, Floyd-maidana, and Floyd-fishnets.

 

Yeah as much as I hate Wards stinker tactics it does win him fights so in many respects it's the refs who should be ridiculed,a robbery is too strong a word but I think given what was on the line it kind of amplifies it somewhat,so many rounds were close and could have gone either way,SK should of known the way it would go and should have done more imo

 

I do consider Pac JMM 3 and out and out screw job. I think 2 was closer but still struggle to see how people scored that fight for Pac. I scored Calzaghe Hopkins for Calzaghe but expected Hopkins being the home fighter to get the nod much in the same way Ward did.

 

It wasn't a robbery but I can understand why people think Kovalev was hard done by.

 

It's actually pretty disturbing that people now Hate Andre Ward because of the decision. A decision Andre Ward himself had nothing to do with. It's a shame.

 

You got to be smoking something wiked if you think Maidana beat Floyd. Only one who will ever have a case for a win over Floyd is Castillo in the first fight.. That's it....PERIOD!

 

He's clearly got an agenda, and also seems to have problems with his eyes if he thinks De La Hoya was robbed as well. I think Maidana did better than Oscar did by a round. Oscar won 4, Chino 5.

 

People are very uncomfortable with Ward winning a close ud they'd rather it be a sd then have every judge in agreement . I remember scoring Williams vs Martinez for Williams but there were also people screaming robbery I guess it will always be a robbery if the fighter that you're rooting for loses.
