Why is Lara called "the American Dream?"

    1. What is the American dream all about?

    2. Why did someone call Lara "the American dream?"

    3. Does he deserve to be called the American dream?


    I'm not an American so someone please educate me. Thanks.

    lara is from cuba. a communist country. lara said he felt imprisoned there without any freedoms. he wanted pursue a professional boxing career which is not possible in cuba. american dream is same as kind of the same thing as don king saying only in america.

    Lara not only put all of the Americans to sleep but he put boxing fans around the globe including me to sleep as well.:lol:

    You're not familiar with the term "American dream"?

    Its the notion that Immigrants could come to America and receive opportunities not available to them in their home countries.

    Lara is the epitome of this idea.

    He came from a totalitarian communist regime and became a millionaire in America and can now provide a better standard of living for his wife and kids that he could never have done back in Cuba.
