There are cases in which athletes, politicians, actors, etc. can create the perception of greatness. So, in the sense that a public figure can manufacture such a perception - obviously with a lot of help from others - even when the actual circumstances don't really support the perception, I guess you can say somebody stole greatness.
Haha, i know, worst deal ever. It actually happened another time, thanks for the reminder, you inspired me to make a post on the boxing quiz thread there.
Leonard also has the type of face I'd like to punch. Nothing to with his boyish looks at all. I just think he looks like a cheeky little sneaky ****.
I certainly don't and I think there's even a case he's the greatest of the fab 4 and even a case for him to be ranked above SRR at WW, in turn making a good case for no1 P4P GOAT
it has nothing to do with being liked or disliked as some would like you to believe. its because he's overrated and phony. This whole thread is phony! And the comback was contrived all the way. sure he looked great against hagler but what did he have left, nothing? Hagler's sparring partners beat him way worse. I saw it myself so why would I give leonard credit for it? Put him in the ring with speedsters and he loses every time. And his chin sucks. Marcos Geraldo and hector camacho proved that
We have figured that one out. Your among very a small minority that knows him in such a manner. :good
How many fighters purposefully take on other fighters who are in their prime or when it's likely to suit the other guy more?? - no smart ones I know of. You can't be forced to like Leonard, but you gotta respect him for what he acheived.
