Why is Maidana shamelessly cherry picking in his first defence?

Broner?

:lol::lol::lol:

And you thought Mayweather's was cherry picking by defending his welterweight title against Khan? :patsch

Why doesn't Maidana defend against someone better than Broner like Kell Brook, Ashley Theophane or Lee Purdy? :think

 but he's not cherry picking broner again it's GBP coming up with some make believe clause.

@ChinoMaidana: Amir never gave me the rematch. NOw I beat the s...t out of @AdrienBroner & they want me to give an immediate rematch!

people was glad to see him get his ass kicked, should be just has glad to see him get it kicked again in a perfect world. but i think the rematch clause had more to do with it then maidana. i dont remember maidana giving ortiz a rematch. broner wants to prove marcos dont have his number and marcos i guess dont mind kicking broner ass some more. if the pay is right and im guessing it is.

RICHARD SCHAEFER: ‘THERE IS NO REMATCH CLAUSE’
Although there was no rematch clause in the event that Broner lost, Golden Boy CEO Richard Schaefer sees that as being among one of the options for the 24-year-old.

That is correct, there is not rematch clause. However, Oscar is trying to force Maidana to rematch Broner. Remember how biased the idiot referee was against Maidana? Well................if you think that was bad, wait until the rematch..............

Maidana will be disqualified for knocking Broner out with a gloved fist

Terrible comparison. Floyd is an A side... Maidana isn't. Floyd is supposed to be the GOAT, Maidana isn't even a boogeyman anymore.

Wrong.

The gulf in talent between Maidana and Broner is greater than the gulf in talent between Mayweather and Khan.

And Mayweather's the best fighter in the world, but Maidana is little more than a journeyman.

Deduct from that what you will (and no, I don't rate Khan very highly) :yep

I don't think you are understanding my point. Floyd is an A side... he draws the money in... Maidana doesn't. Floyd fought Victor Oritz and it drew over a million morons who were willing to pay... How many PPV buys did Ortiz/ Maidana get?? Oh that's right, it wasn't even a PPV headliner.

A great fighter selecting garbage for a defense (i.e. Guerrero, Ortiz, Khan) is considered by many to be cherry picking. Maidana is a B level fighter at best, so the only way he cherries is by picking a fan out of the audience and fighting him. Unfortunately, Broner is the draw, not Maidana.

Broner is a pretty epic draw. Few others at WW compare...

Gets people who don't rate him the slightest like the thread starter to talk of him endlessly. You'd think he was a truly great fighter.

this fight brings money in... as long as maidana is ready to go 12 rds hes gunna win... is adrien gunna learn how to box by april becuz thats wut he needs to beat him.. lets see if they give broner a huge ring again n lets see if he uses it the way golden boy wanted him to use it initially

an it seemed like broner did hurt marcos a couple times but wen u hurt this dude it seems like marcos just comes back even stronger.. almost like maidana plays possum a lil bit.. cuz he will be looking tired as hell n u will be worried hes gunna fatigue majorly by his bod language n facial expressions but then he will unleash wit this combo n then he will be like nvm he aint tired.. lol
