Might there be some real value on Cayo tonight? Does anyone know if he has a good chin? And... can he hit? Maidana has been down a few times.

    :think

When I saw him beat ortiz at the staples center, you could hear his punches landing very loudly.

    Brutally hard punches.

cayo's best win is against a faded julio diaz... i dont think being a 4 to 1 dog is unreasonable

To be honest, Maidana can hit hard but I don't know if he can do anything else. As you say, he has been down a few times, I believe that he could be easily out boxed and even knocked out. If you look at his fights he very rarely goes past 5 rounds, he went 12 rounds once and lost that fight to Kotelnik, a guy who isn't exactly a great boxer. And I don't really know why people want to see Khan fight him so bad, I mean yeah obviously people want to see Khan in there with a big puncher to prove he has balls but at the end of the day, Khan will dance around Maidana for 12 rounds and get a nice UD. Simple as that, unless Maidana lands flush...but er... we won't go into that.

This fight is a true test for Maidana if he can be consistent on KO'ing top level fighters, or if he could win via judge scores.

If cayo avoids a slugfest he can win easily

Has anyone seen Cayo? Is he a decent fighter? His record is obviously great but... he hasn't really fought anyone.

He's getting overrated because Khan ducked him.

So I am assuming Maidana will come right out after Cayo and try to knock his head off. Is that a fair assumption?

I read an interview that explained a side-step agreement so Khan did not have to fight his mandatory straight after his other mandatory and have a nice stylish US debut.

But yeah sure. Khan ducked him because he is scared that he might have to have a boring fight and score a WIDE UD over a slugger. Terrible.
