I stayed up yesterday night and watched two Marcos Maidana fights, his last one with cayo and the one with ortiz. Other than his punching power please explain to me what else is it he does well?

I can't see Khan losing to this guy, because khan wouldn't engage he will just use his bigger frame to grab him during close exchanges, but the majority of the fight would be Khan tagging him in the center of the ring. Khan is faster, quicker and is just a plain better boxer, by the way didn't Maidana get outboxed by Koteinik? the same guy Khan outboxed?

Maidana last fight Cayo got to comfortable and started trading, Ortiz lost his heart and quit on the stool. Khan will we win a lump sided UD.

Unless there is a Maidana fight u suggest I watch, that tells a better story of dude?

Don't get me wrong Maidana does have a punchers chance

After Khan wins he will all of a sudden be king lol, when we know the real 140's out there he should be fighting are boxer/punchers

Khan-Maidana is a similar matchup to Mayweather and Mosley. Khan is clearly the more skilled fighter but you have to expect Maidana to catch him at some point during the fight and the question becomes, can Khan survive?

    Literally have no idea.

People keep referring to Khan facing 'Bradley, Alexander or Maidana' like Maidana is one of the big three in the division and deserves to be bracketed with those other two.

In fact he lost to Kotelnik and Ortiz was outboxing him until he inexplicably stopped boxing and then decided to quit. Maidana was on the floor everytime Ortiz connected.

As far as I'm concerned, there is no reason to rank him above Kotelnik who would beat him again if they fought again.

What you'll find is that people who sing Maidana's name from the rooftops are people who have never watched him , i cant say anything more than your thread as we say in England " has hit the nail on the head " :good

Its all to do with who the American public recognise. Maidana beat Ortiz who was being hyped, by KO in America, so the American fans have seen him and now recognise him. It seems forgotten that Maidana was beaten by Kotelnik

That's all well and good but it's not Maidana or anybody else fault for Khan ducking to fight him for months and months. It has been clear as day that Khan has been ducking to fight Maidana. Now he says that he wants to fight Maidana "next" in which that's bs cause he's planning to fight another bs tune up fight in england. What more tune up does he needs???

If your looking for a WW comparison to Maidana id be looking a bit more towards a more limited Clottey , with more in the power department !!!! :deal

Its because people were pissed that he fought a fighter who could not break an egg instead of fighting Maidana, and this with the background of Khan being chinny and clearly avoiding fighters who have any type of power (aside from Prescott, who was as crude as they come but had power)

And btw Kot vs Maidana was a very close fight in which some thought Maidana won. Wasn't it a split decision? So Maidana barely and i mean barely lost.

I'm comparing the matchup you dildo. Skilled fighter vs puncher.

Obviously Khan is nowhere near Mayweather and Maidana is nowhere near Shane.

Clottey? Shut your pie hole when adults are talking.
